He didn't cover Qntal dude, this song is old, very old, it's a french song from medieval times (12/13 century).

And yeah =) I'm french so I cant tell u this is an old song probably created by a bard/minstrel from the country of Picardie of the 13th century, in the land of Béthune, maybe the bard was Conon de Béthune, but that's not sure.

This song comes from a collection of texts created by anonymous minstrels, and belongs to the "Songs of Dawn". It tells the mourn of the lovers who have to leave each other at the dawn.

My ignorance is probably not very surprising considering my home country, but I greatly appreciate you sharing your knowledge of this song's origins. @Feanor940 The feeling is mutual, I am glad you corrected me about this song! Indeed, Qntal is awesome. Syrah's voice has been known to moisten the eyes on a few occasions not unlike Mr. Arbogast here.

@Jedidiah0217 I agree dude, I really like actually the earlier Qntal stuff, amazing atmosphere. But for this song I think Luc's voice isn't so good as it could be ! Just check out the live version in "Cormontreuil", far more moving, I just feel that his voice is not crushed by studio sound.

I listened to Forest Stream, but I'm not really into this style, yet good but it doesn't make feel smth. I will check the others bands you've talked about thx, have a good day man, bye

@mayazusue Certes Luc Arbogast mériterait d'être connu. Mais personnelement ça me dérangerait de le voir exhiber à la télé, avec des mecs qui n'y connaissent rien en musique. Je préfère largement le croiser par hasard au détour d"une rue et passer un bon moment, certe éphémère mais tellement plus intimiste que la télévision...
