please do upload past AX video clips! I was born in LA, but moved to Tulsa as a baby. I missed 16 years of Anime cons and cosplay until Tulsa had a con in 2007! Ugh if I grew up in L.A. I would be at AX in 1991 at age 16! and my BFA would be in Animation and not Video art! i would love to see the past history of the Anime Expo cons I've missed!
the camera zoom was too far away because you keep seeing the painting finish on the edges of the cels. other than that, good animation, even though i hate anime. for what it is, this is good
Way ahead of their time. There's another one by this group after this called No Enemy but Time which I haven't seen in ages. I was there when this premiered. :)
No Enemy But Time was animated by the same people a year later (94), but it was funded and created/written by an individual not part of the actual group and it wasn't an actual 'opening'
Boy that takes me back! Been years since I last saw that. I think I have the sequel (Bayscape) on tape someplace. Considering that I recently digitized my tape of the AnimeCon 91 masquerade to DVD, I should upload a few of the skits from that up here, so the younguns can see how it used to be done!
Remember Walter, Bayscape was the year before, 1992. I have an original tape as well, but haven't split it up for youtube-ness since it runs about 15 minutes.
yaaaaaaaaay my daddys the producer :D

This is pretty darn good for homegrown animation.
