I bought core i7 model. It is very much but when u use speed mode hen fan kickin it is very noisy. Have problems with many old orojectors model, it locks to only 800x600 when use duplicate present mode. (old vaio s work in 1024x768) but this new s lock to only 800x600. Then if u are sales or teacher beware to use ths new s in your presentatation.

@punkdeadcross for my information u36jc has been updated to u36sd which has new genaration sandy bridge processor and nvidia GT 520m graphic card which make asus alot stronger than the macbook air. about the weight asus is a little heavier (around 100g) ONLY when it is connected with the 8 cell battery. and it is cheaper as u said.

Do not buy. Fan is very noisy and annoying. You run an application and it will make even more noise. I am disappoiinted with my pruchase. This was my first experience with Sony laptops and unfortunately it hasn't been good. Returning mine may it be at the cost of loosing 15% of the amount paid.

@chessblader the sad thing is that he's right. I bought this piece of shit too :-( it's slower than usual netbook, noisy as usual jetplane and poor mechanically assembled. only positives are: keyboard, used materials and thickness of the whole crap. that's not enough or serious work, sorry...

You can customize it with 16gb ddr3 ram, and a ssd.

I have seen and messed with this laptop when it was on display at bestbuy; and its far from cheap quality, the whole laptop is made out of a slab of aluminum! and the screen is AMAZING!

You're just bashing because you have a shitty 09 mbp that you paid too much for.

Then the employee told me that Sony is coming out with a whole new line of vaios no later than april 15. He said they would have sandy bridge, new bodies, new batteries, and better displays.... Message me if you want more info.... AND LIKE SO PEOPLE CAN SEE!
