Well, both have created works illustrating what might conventionally be considered human disasters. But whereas Warhol focused on actual disasters as they appear via the popular media, Cronenberg depicts imagined disasters (although he probably wouldn't himself consider them to be disastrous at all).

Cronenberg is just a big Warhol fan, he curated a museum exhibition of his work.
