If it's class based, and has slightly cartoony artstyle, it's a TF2 ripoff. By the way, the exclusives were done after it was finished, the concept at least. The reason they linked them: they appeal to the same people, but are not clones. And I know who Valve is. I love TF2, and I love MNC. Why? Because MNC is a brand new concept.

TF - Has been around since 1996, and TF2 in 2007; they've come a long way

MNC - Like DotA and TF2 made a baby, this thing has only been around since 2010
