Hi, when your hair is longer on top, as I have seen in the other videos, what products specifically do you use to make it hold away from your face and keep your natural curl pattern. It looks really cool. Thanks in advance!
@XthickmadameX Hello :) I realize it looks overexposed a bit here...but I didnt have time to shoot test clips :) Plus it doesnt look that bad on my laptop. I just raised the ISO to a point that it washed out the background while keeping a sufficient aperature to keep things in focus (like a high ISO like 2000-2500 or something). I also placed lights both in front of me as well as on the white background.
@HotPinkLips85 First, you HAVE TO take a class to learn how to write the alphabet and form words in writing (like letter by letter and learning how to connect the letters: alif baa' taa'...etc). Without this skill you will not really be able to do anything except memorize and repeat basic Arabic phrases. After you know the script, you are ready to learn the language just as you would learn any language :) -Michael
I love your reviews. Thank you! Question: What would you recommend for someone with THIN hair (not fine, but literally, thin, not much quantity), where the scalp may be oily but the hair is thin and brittle? It leaves out LOTS of products which are geared towards people with thick hair who can sculpt and gloss and shine and afford getting their hair weighed down or waxed up. Do you have any thoughts on this? Thanks again.
@palpak06 I have not yet. There are so many new popular hair oils / leave-in conditioners that are getting so much attention...time to try them all I suppose haha :) Thanks for watching!
Hello Michael, I truly enjoy watching your videos and listening to what you have to share, except (and I mean no offense) this was hard to watch because of the washed out result the lighting and background gave. I felt the need to squint and look for sunglasses. I did appreciate how you put a picture-in-picture of each product you spoke on so I could see it better! Again, I love watching you. Thanks for sharing! Take care! :-)
hi Michael :)))) Yeay I missed u.. Thank u for doing this Hair Products review...just what I needed at the moment... I have latin hispanic hair and it is heavy and thick and frizzy ..I absolutely adore the FF Glossing Cream... Plezzz do a review on FF Pomade CRystal, Chi Pliable Polish or the FF Coiff...:)))) I am going to pick up the Hair Rules cleansing cream it sounds Fantastic... ;)
You're back! It's so good to see you in my subscription box:) What a great video and like always full of amazing information. I too really enjoy the Macadamia oil treatment. I use a shampoo kind of like the one you mentioned but I use it for my daughter because she has really curly hair and I love how it makes her hair look and feel.
Great suggestions! I will definitely try the Hair Rules shampoo and the Fekkai Pomade for my eyebrows! I was wondering if you tried any of the haircare/styling products from Shu Uemura? My stylist uses it on my hair when I go in for a cut, and it feels nice but it's really pricey. Please let me know what you think! Thanks!!
Michael!!!! I'm so glad that you're back! I have missed your videos so much! Hope everything is well with you. I am going to try some of the products you mentioned. Thanks for doing this video!
Love, love, love the Fredric Fekkai Glossing Creme! I have long naturally curly/wavy hair with highlights and this is my #1hair product. It gives me shiny defined waves. I also started using Wen a couple years ago and have been so happy w it I'll never go back to "regular" shampoo.
Sorry off topic but I got the super aqua eye serum after your recommendation and its amazing. Mt eye area has responded well to the hyaluronic acid. I was hoping you could please recommend a hyaluronic acid face cream/serum you like? Ur suggestions are great!! Thanks x
@CocoChanelContessa Awesome suggestion. I have a perfect recommendation. It will be in a video fairly soon :) Thanks so much for watching. Dont you love HA around the eyes :D
I have the CHI Keratin Mists and it works really well for me! I just might try the Fekkai Glossing Spray based on your recommendation. Thanks for a great video! I literally laughed when I clicked on this video because I had to lower my screen brightness!
I love Kerastase Shampoos, it treats your hair as it cleanse. Theres this special one they have in a white bottle, blue cap and silver writing. I can't remember the name but its the only one to treat sensitive scalp, you should check it out. That's if you haven't, of course.
@vsychau I will try to track down this shampoo you described. Sounds great, and I do really enjoy a few of the brand's products. Thanks!! And thanks for watching!
try some Oribe products. I think they would be up your alley. I LOVE them. They are super high end and preform! (oribe.com) I think you would like their conditioner and the Rough Luxury modeling paste
@thomashbreed Thanks so much for the suggestion. I have heard all about the line before, but never saw the line in person. I will definitely check them out :) Thanks for watching!
Cibu makes really nice shampoo (no lather, no sulfates, etc.) and they usually have deals where you can buy liter bottles, so the value for money is quite good. I got the Spring Roll set for my curls, and it worked really well. Might be worth checking out when you finish the Hair Rules!
@peevishporcupine I will definitely check them out :) Ive heard of the brand but never tried anything...so thanks for the suggestion. I will check them out on eBay right now actually hah :D Thanks for watching!
@TheSublimeAgent I don't know how much you'll find on ebay--their website is cibuinternational [dot] com (not to be confused with sibu, the skincare line--I know, totally confusing).
@Averyeatsrainbows I havent actually. I get that question a lot. Nose jobs don't really shorten the nose, they are more for removing bumps, straightening it, or refining the tip of the nose. I was just born with a smaller nose. Both of my parents have small noses haha :) Thanks for watching!
My comment below got cut off for some reason, but I was saying it's fragrance is like a sweet musk but it really is a great smell and particularly their hairspray. I have longer hair at the moment and it remains mostly intact after a long night and morning of being at a club
I really like the products by Kevin Murphy, I live in Australia so I'm not sure if they are available elsewhere.
I think it's a new product since I've only seen it around in the last year and it's more a boutique product since I haven't seen it at grocery, chemist or other beauty stores but that may just because it doesn't have too many broad stockists, but then I have only used products I've been given in event goodie bags
What do you think is the best for scalp that is crusty with alot of flakiness? I do use jojoba oil and have a steamer, but that only goes so far. My hair is in perfect shape, but my scalp is the problem. -its way too dry.
@nightrider2k6 Good question!! Haha. Thanks btw. Andre was actually here visiting me all of last week. He'll be back in a few weeks and we will compile footage from both visits into a video :D
And because you seem keen on niche luxury brands, you should try hair repair from Valmont which is excellent. Ditto Shu Uemura Art of Hair for the Winter climates, but their silicone-free stuff only.
I also find no need to 'repair' short hair, ever. A good balancing conditioner paired with an effective shower filtration system can replace the need for all of those unnecessary masques and glossers even for the most horrid of hair textures.
Alas, I am severely allergic to silicones and I also steer far from stylers with parabens and pthalates for safe measure. My two HG shampoos are by Darphin and Carita Paris which I alternate to keep my hair in constant shock. I recondition with Natura Bissé Rosa Mosqueta and Josie Maran Argan. I treat with Osmotics FNS. ツ
If I may ask. You are very interested in high end products, it seems to me that you went to target and purchased all of these products. Why such a dramatic difference?
Have you ever tried Oribe 24-Karat Gold pomade? I've always wanted to try it (because the idea of putting gold in your hair is pretty appealing) but it's sort of on the expensive side so I'm hesitant to splurge on something without first hearing a few reviews. Thanks for the video!
Sebastian drench moisturizing shampoo and Kenra platinum shaping creme are holy grail stuff for me. I've never experimented with hair masks before though, how often do you use them and are they worth the time and money?
@TheSublimeAgent Omg are you arabic??? you do not look it at all!! I'm only saying that becuz I am of Arab decent as well and dont look it very much :) I always get Italian or Greek >_<
@TheSublimeAgent sorry to ask but are you an arab? do you think it is a tough language to learn? cause I want to start learning this language..it is very beautiful...you should problably do a video with you speaking in arabic..that would be awesome...
@knottyhead25 Phyto - Exceptional :) I still use phytorhum shampoo if I need suds haha :) I tried phytopolleine (spelling?) and I was underwhelmed. But a great line overall :D
@AGuerra91 That is a really great question...difficult to answer, but you make a great point. It sorta depends which shade you are. F&B has fairly unique undertones and there may not be a perfect match for everyone. I wouldn't dismiss it as an option outright though. Because I know a few people with heavy yellow undertones who use it.
@ArinLudington What is your favorite Ojon product? I assume their staple hair mask? If not, I'd love to know. You are right about their product line :)
There's a new product out called Damage Reverse Instant Restorative Serum & it is AMAZING! The entire line is amazing. The serum is neat b/c you use it once a week with a current product (mix it with your gel, shampoo, etc.)
Before this I was using & still LOVE the Restorative Hair Treatment. That stuff lasts FOREVER. I use a lot of their products & my faves, other than the above, are the: Damage Reverse Finishing Spray, Run-Out Dry Spray & their styling sprays.
