  • lol the hand grips look like lightsabers ;)

  • fantastic suond

  • beautiful sounding bike you got there.

im planing to get a Vulcan 500 myself soon, hope i can get it looking as good as you got yours.

  • They are nice little bikes but not really little as you will soon find out

  • @Bozzly68 thats okay, i've got a good 170 pounds on me, so as long as its not a hog i should be fine.

plus if it was too small i think it would lose some of the... image i guess.

  • where did you buy those exaust? how much were they?

  • i bought them from scootworks, they were $200 but I think they have raised that price nice by $100

  • How much did the exhuast cost you? I found a place selling for $300. Seems really steep.

  • I paid $200 but now as you see they are charging $300

  • Looking at one for £1295 atm, trying to get the dealer down as its a 1990 so not paying that much for one. Any advice on how much I should be looking to pay?

  • I believe these rims come from 90 to 95 model. You do not need to swap to belt. All parts from the spoke rims will swap over except for the speedo gear and the piece that turns it. You will need to order those two parts from the dealer since it needs to go on the opposite side of the front rim.

  • @Bozzly68

So if I already have the spoked rim on my 2002, I need to order the parts from the 95 model for the speedo? I love the look of the older mags versus the spokes, SO I'd love to do this conversion.. Please to let me know :) thanks in advance.

  • @cheetahjab you are correct and I agree the mags are sweeter plus you then have tubeless tires

  • Hey Bozzly68 your bike sounds awesome. Looks even better. I see you put aluminum wheels on. Great job. I bent my rim and want to swap mine. I would like to know what parts I need. Did you have to switch to belt drive accessories? What about the speedo cable? It is on the opposite side. Hope you will share your swap experience with me. Great bike! Thanks Rick

  • @01dakota4x4 No belt needed all parts swap just purchas the speedo gear and piece in the rim that turns it from 90 to 95 model and your all set. good luck

  • hi there i have a 2009 vulcan 500 and came with spokes wheels but i want to put some like the ones on yours , i don't know what year model is yours but it looks alike i'm sure they'd fit but i don't know where to get them

  • @KennyMckormickk They will fit but you will need to purchase the speedo gear and the piece that sits in the rim to turn the gear from the 90 to 95 model. Mine is a 2007

  • I have a 95, I noticed that scootworks scorpion exhaust is only for 96models and up... would this absolutely not work on my 95 or what as I don't see the differences really...

  • Couldn't really answer this. You would have to call scootworks. Sorry

  • Damn that sounds good! Thanks for posting.

  • Thank you

  • where did you get the clock and the extra front lights?

  • The clock I bought off ebay and the lights i got from cruiser customizing.

  • Sounds too sport bike for how the bike looks. I would expect to see the ninja 500 if you told me this sound was coming from a kawasaki

  • thats cause it uses the same engine as the ninja 500, right? its just tuned differently.

  • As far as i know it's the same engine.

  • Same Engine, I believe smaller carbs and some differences in the tranny

  • Yes, and softer cam shafts, for that extra low to mid range performance, but will lack the performance in the higher RPM region, if we compare to the ninja 500

  • I never cruised a NINJA but for a 500 this thing has some gidi up

  • @darkarmy21488 The CR is lower and so are the cams, The weight on the flywheel are heaver as well. The carbs are a litle smaller then the Ninja also. There is around 10 Hp diffrence, Less for the EN500. Hope that helps. If anyone has some nice spoked rimes I might would buy them. I would rather have ones like the bike here. Thank's, yl

  • *steals*

  • I do ride it like i stole it. lol

  • Man, you HAVE to tell me about some of these modifications. The wheels in particular. Are those from the old style vulcan 500s?

  • Yup, the wheels are from the 90 to 95 model. Hit me up, I would be glad to tell you about my mods.

  • Hiya,

I found these pipes on Scootworks for bout 700 bucks and I like the sound (thanks to you) but do you know of any other place to get them, possibly for less?

  • I didnt pay anywhere close to that price from scootworks. You may want to check that price again.

  • Are those stock wheels?

  • They are the cast wheels from the 90 to 95 model

  • Did you have to rejet your carburetor? How easy where these pipes to install?

  • no Re-Jet required. Easy as pie to install.

  • I will be doing this to my wife's bike soon. I love the sound.

  • Awesome, she will love it

  • I bought the same pipes and since I installed - I have backfiring like crazy. I checked for air leaks in exhaust and AIS. Did you have any issues with backfiring when you installed the Scorpions?

  • I have some backfiring when going down hills and i let off the gas. You could always rejet but i didnt find it neccessary

  • Did you install these on a vulcan or another bike? I know of the 750's there are two air fuel mixture screws that if you turn them out to 2 1/2 turns, it will eliminate the popping.

  • Sound and look GREAT!!

  • Thanks
