Nuisance and desensitization trainings are not meant to make a horse "immune" against an ASSAULT.

"The animal must be conditioned to accept things that their instincts" -> We are talking about SURVIVAL instincts. You can't train a >horse< to act like a marine...

Well for this conclusion I would like to see sources. When animals get attacked, they WILL act on instinct and most of them will answer back. Nothing there, which can be trained.

@thyslop1 No matter how well trained or "bomb" proof a horse is, it will always have a chance of spooking or reverting to its natural instincts, for God sakes its an animal. When it feels threatened any animal especially horses who are prey will react or if in the wild get killed. Actually horses who seem to be "fine" all the time can be the most dangerous because you let your guard down too much and dont expect anything to happen...

Quite honestly there is absolutely no need for horses in the streets of Minneapolis. Anyone who has posted a comment saying that the lady was at wrong has clearly never encountered the assholes that ride these horses. I agree no harm should come to the horse, however one night on the town I was rudely spoken to and repeatedly bashed in the head by one of these horses upon command from the officer. Completely unnecessary actions seeing as how I was just waiting to give my friends a sober ride.
