yea I just think its unnecessary to insult Robert's acting ability, he's been playing the same roles in things mostly because he hasn't been able to get work, he had to play it safe in order to get jobs, he's making it seem like its all he can do. He's also making the movie seem like its crap because its not as"serious" as Batman Begins. Just because a movie isn't serious doesn't mean its worse than a movie that is. idk he kinda just comes off as a jerk.

He doesn't make the movie seem like crap, if you listen to the whole review he actually says it's OK - I more or less agree with him. He doesn't hate Robert Downey Jr, listen to him assessing Zodiac or Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, he just gets fed up with him playing the same whacky kind of guy etc.Besides, if you take his reviews, especially his impressions, too seriously then you're looking at it the wrong way - they're just great fun to listen to, and this video does a great job of showing that.

Yeah still though, the guy went to jail for drugs, he's had to play it safe for the past few years in movies like that just to prove he can still work. He's played other roles, roles completly different from his typical comedic performance, he just has to work his way back to the top again.

I saw this film advertised as 'Iron Man' and thought it looked like a ridiculous cartoon-y acted film and was instantly put off by it.

Then I saw a trailer for it on TV and realised Robert Downey Jnr was in it and actually said 'WHY?'

I liked him Zodiac and A Scanner Darkly, but this just seems a bad idea. Like the Thunderbirds film. It just doesn't translate right.

I also really like Batman Begins, despite never being a fan of Batman or any comic book heroes before that.

In a similiar way, I watch Spiderman and was disappointed that Willem Dafoe appeared in that.

I'm even more disappointed now that I know Jeff Bridges is in this film too.

Oh and as the good Doctor pointed out, yes, Robert Downey Jr found it hard to get work for a time. Does this mean that we can expect Wesley Snipes to appear in even worse films after he gets out?

see I dissagree I thought it translated better than Batman Begins, I mean yeah the plot was far superior to Iron Man, but the movie tended to get a bit dry at times.
