  • Just you gliding in a lost island, no worries, no work, no problems, listening to the sound of the waves splashing and the sun brighting on the crystal water, with a mountain in the background and feeling the air in your face.

  • this music is peaceful and calm i love it and i can hear the waves of water it is beautiful

  • I like how they retained the relaxing vibe from the old game.

  • I like the subtle throwback they did to the first game's hanglider song in this arrangement.

    Good job flute.

  • @christbl58 I don't think I mentioned the games at all. Pilotwings is actually great. I was talking about how for the first time, they are relying on the current not too successful 3d boon to sell a product that didn't need it in the first place. Please don't miss-quote.

I will be sticking with my much loved and still daily played (since it was released) DS Lite thanks. Great music though op, sorry about thus mild diversion from it. :)

  • Chugga put this in his video and i love this music lol

  • Are Rocket Belt, Airplane, and Hang Glider the only 3 events/ vehicles you can do, or do you unlock more as you progress?

  • @hibber25 You can also find upgraded versions of the vehicles and a special event.

  • Under-rated in every single way, this game rocks! Best song in the game... And according to sales its one of the best selling 3DS games at launch... Only Street Fighter IV 3D Edition sold better...

  • @GCNetwork Because the 3DS selection is terrible, and for the first time in any of the Nintendo handhelds, they have gone for a stupid gimmick to sell their product. I have owned every one of them, but not ever going to buy a 3DS, as I think it's a terrible idea. The game is ok, but nothing on the original.

  • @clarkeyqe2 You're basing the 3DS's game quality on the launch line-up? Launch games suck 90% of the time. Devs don't know what hardware can do yet.

  • @clarkeyqe2 the ds touch screen was similar, yet it has a near-ps2 level library. hopefully the 3ds is half as good.

  • I still prefer the hang glider theme from Pilotwings 64, but this theme still kicks major ass. Keep up the good work, Darky!

  • i still cant find the last golden ring in the free flight mode :( maybe i should try once again now ;)

  • They totally ripped Michaels Jacksons song "Human nature"

  • you know it's good when the game's just out and it's already straight into the best VGM list

  • It's funny ... Everytime I play Pilotwings with the plane, the music really reminds me of Chrono Trigger (the fair).

This track is quite a cool one too ^^

  • Nice to hear some soundtrack from the 3ds ;)

I was really curious on the sound quality. I have no doubts anymore =D

  • Good to hear that the Pilotwings games still sound like cheesy pornos.

  • Best thing about going from my DS Lite to 3DS for me was being able to connect to WPA secured routers like the DSi.

  • @bledevik one can finaly do that? Awesome! It was such a nuisance to change it everytime ^^

  • This game looks interesting, I have never played wii sports resort so the island looks really cool. Reminds me of Super Mario Sunshine.

  • anything you've heard bad about the 3ds is NOT true. It is an AMAZING system and worth every penny, I'm so glad I got it.

  • @Raiglet With the exeption of region lock, though i'm not sure if you care about that...

  • I am still so disappointed at the 3DS launch game roster

  • Very nice. At this time I have little motivation to buy a 3DS though...maybe I'm living under a rock but I haven't heard of any great titles for it yet.

  • @diamondlancer Either you are doing just that or you don't care about checking sites for game announcements. Ocarina of Time 3D, StarFox 64 3D, Paper Mario 3DS (NOT a remake btw), Kid Icarus Uprising, Prof Layton VS Phoenix Wright, Mega Man Legends 3, Super Mario (new game), Resident Evil Revelations and lots of other more niche games.

  • Brock from Pokemon is riding the hang glider.

  • @DrumLine769 lol

  • @DrumLine769 unfortunately without a girlfriend

  • @LeMelleKH2 He's still in search for Nurse Joy!

  • @DrumLine769 Which one!!!

  • I lvoe you for uploading this. The moment I heard this ingame I youtubed it. It's so good.

  • I miss Pilotwings 64 when I heard that little melody you mentioned. The birdman suit. . .so relaxing.

  • Beautiful song. The most relaxing game I've ever played.

  • I remember the old Pilotwings for N64... it was really fun, but very buggy and hard =P That game music wasn't very good though...

  • i want a 3ds so bad but i live in brazil is not here yat and when it comes is going to cost over 600 dollars

  • Funnest game on the 3DS... too bad it only takes 8 hours to 100%

  • Thanks Supra for uploading all of the hidden gems in modern games.

  • This is a nice tune but nothing beats the N64 version's music..

  • I'm always glad to see that REAL video game music hasn't died :D

  • @WNCaptainjOE ...What's REAL video game music?

  • @Masz52 I think he's referring to the kind of music people were spoiled by in the late 80s/early-mid 90s where music was more memorable than a lot of music people tend to compare to today. I would tend to disagree; I feel that video game music has only evolved further from a limited palette of 3 tones at a time to sweeping orchestral pieces like in Beyond Good & Evil.

  • @Masz52 To me real vgm truly sets the mood and atmosphere of a particular environment and whenever you think of or see that environment or hear the music you immediately think of the other. In other words, the music and the environment it was put to are inseparably linked in your memory because the music brought its environment to life.

  • @WNCaptainjOE I see. I might be misunderstanding your original comment (sorry if I am) but do you think games lack "real" VGM these days? (I disagree in that case)

  • @Masz52 No, there are a decent amount of awesome vgm still out there, but they are not as rampant as in the 1990s early 2000s. I guess all I'm trying to express is that there are plenty of good stuff out there, but not nearly as much that is memorable and so intimately tied to the games as there used to be.

  • its good i like it

  • I won't even consider buying the 3DS until I see Starfox and Z:OoT on it...

  • @TheDRUNKCANADIAN

Why? OoT is coming in June and SF64 sometime this year, and it's not like prices are going to go down any time around then. Why wait?

  • If I ever get a 3DS, this is one of the games I want. The SNES and N64 games were both challenging, but really fun to play on a relaxing afternoon. This song has the same old style the others had. It SOUNDS perfect for soaring through the air.

  • Relaxing and extremely pleasant. Thanks for the upload

  • I hope I get to try hang gliding in real life sometime.

  • Loved pilotwings 64. Might have to try this out...

  • I'll buy the 3DS after at the end of the month after my final exams. I really like this song, especially the little Pilotwimngs 64 melody at 0:33. Very relaxing, just like a Hang Glider theme should be.

  • @SupraDarky I can't believe that casey loe from np magazine thought, "there isn't much to enjoy about the synthy jazz soundtrack". Just lost a lot of respect for him.

  • @TheMarioluigifans : yeah, reviewers rarely get what the audience likes. It was the same way when we released Pilotwings 64.

  • @SupraDarky which ilotwings 64 song was that melody from?

  • @LeMelleKH2 Piltowings 64's Hang Glider theme as well.

  • @SupraDarky Never mind found it

  • @LeMelleKH2 I didn't hear it. When was it

  • @SupraDarky: Yeah, met too. Just wish I was getting royalties from it! LOL!
