  • I have two of them and I also really love those Low wattage G12 Celestions. Im actually running a Degitech GSP1101 for just some effects through the loop. Sure feels good!

Best amp I ever owned. I have played through Marshalls from the 70s and Laney-Peavey 5150s and Mesaboogie-Line6..... Old Marshall heads form the 70s.. And this 5150III is like a Marshall on steroids.

  • No kidding---play the amp

  • Nicks a great rep, and it's what he doesn't say about this amp that speaks loudest. Very honest review thanks Nick.

  • So Nicks not with Marshall anymore????

  • Check my video titled " EVH 5150 Seriously Defective ". It will change your mind

  • What a waste of time.

  • The gain on Nick's voice was amazing, those words were harmonically rich, just a bit o' saturation but he cleans it up with a whisper.

  • Want some denim with that flesh exposure?

  • At least he admits it.

  • Larry the cable guy does product demos ?

  • Wanna trade ???

  • Nick Bowcott, from Grim Reaper? Wow....

  • Its an all chube amp

  • lend me 3000 dollars then i will tell you how it sounds

  • SPEAK LESS MAN!

  • tl;d...listen.

  • "3 TOTALY DIFFERENT INDEPENDURNT CHANNEHLZ," lighting too hard to even see eq pannel

    ya dunn goofed.

  • If you are an awful guitar player, why don't let you play a good guitar player :-)

  • I bought some Gibson Les Paul parts from these guys.

  • "an all tyuub anp featuring 12 tyubes" lmao

  • if this amp wasn't 3000 freaking dollars id buy it but fucking A can't!!!

  • he said it himself!.. awful guitar player XD!

  • way to make the amp sound like shit

  • Jackson for some reason has always sounded to tin foily for my taste

  • I HAVE THE EXACT SAME GUITAR LEFT HANDED TOO!!!!

  • I remember meeting Grim Reaper and shaking your hand Nick....You actually commented on my RED shoes bro.....Peace man.

  • you're too old for those pants!

  • this guy freakin sucks.

  • @MAllenProductions he did mention that, dont think he needs people to repeat him :P

  • shit

don`t play men. go to home and give beer botl. it`s true for you

  • IMHO, The original 5150 was more to my liking. $3,100 for a half stack is just too expensive. IMHO Ed is gouging his fans & customers. I'm sure it's a well made amp that will last forever. But my $1,400 5150 half stack still works perfectly too.

  • This guy was in Grim Reaper. Great 80's Metal band

  • can any1 tell me if you can get near to the van halen 1 album tone on this amp, because i reall want the tone plus the amp, or is a marshall plexi a better product for the tone??

  • I SAW U AT GEARFEST!

  • I'm not gonna lie, I tried this amp a few hours ago and I really disliked it. The original 5150 and the 5150 2 were much better.

  • @zdkezios really, whats bad about it?

  • @1961gibson

Lol, nothing actually. I tried it the other day with a better guitar and loved it :P. Please disregard my previous statement.

  • @zdkezios ok you made me nervous i just ordered the fender half stack lol

  • @1961gibson How much did you pay for your evh 5150 lll ?

  • @MartinFire13 i got it from guitar center for $3000 for a half stack

  • All talk and no demo. Look elsewhere for a real 5150 amp demo.

  • There's way too much shit in this amp. Ed's tone now is nothing like it was back in the day. He always used to say simple is better. There's so many knobs and channels on this thing. His tone came from 6 knobs all cranked, a re-wound pickup, and his fingers.

  • @theShowStopper321

And a variac that eventually ruined that amp with the famous brown sound. Shame really but that is the price of good tone.

  • isnt this the dude who usually talks for marshall?

  • dude man i'll sick with a marshall this thing sounds way to muddy

  • @headbagger63 MUDDY MY ASS GET REAL

  • @asianaxeman ya it does sound muddy and there's know definition in this amp's tone because that's what happens when you put 8 12AX7's in one amp there's so much distortion you lose sound quality plus the the cab only has 100 watt power rating that's way to low for this amp trust me on this one because unlike most people I've actually tried out this amp and it's not as good as everyone says it is

  • Great Sounding guitars @

    Wolfgang guitars ROCK

  • Nick works for Fender now? He used to work for Marshall...

  • A lot of these guys are spokesmen for multiple companies at once. You'd think that companies would be a bit more exclusive about who demos and reviews their gear.

  • I take it you don't really know who he is? He's Nick Bowcott, guitarist for the 80's melodic power metal group Grim Reaper, and long-time contributor/columnist to most of the major guitar magazines. He's also endorsed by Dean Guitars. He always downplays his own playing, but seriously, he could play circles around most guys.

  • That's besides my point, but cool. I didn't know that actually. I'd damn sure like to hear him shred the hell out of this thing.

  • wut up tony

  • @akaboo69 - hey bro!

  • yea its from fender; but the 5150 amp was started with eddie van halen and peavey in 1991

  • now i wanna play one!

  • just play the freaking amp, dude

  • Let him unleash the beast! Let us hear that baby.
