Thanks adzrul76 and JOSB112211. I just threw the idea out there, how possible or practical it would be I would leave to the engineers to decide. But even if it's not a realistic idea, if it gave them a spark of inspiration toward a working solution, then all the better. : )

Good idea but....... Where are you going to get 38000 ft of hose or pipe reliable enough to inflate your plug

this kind of method is impossible to apply due the high gas pressure from the riser itself.
