Hi Seth.Yes i was sure glad to see it too as i have never seen it with a sec exciter before so when it appeared I was sowww pleased and it was a chance find by cutting the lengh of the pigtail, might chance the lottery this week ;-) Jonny
I also noticed that unwinding some more wire (after I had cut mine short) did not fix the loss of plasma. It seems, anyway, that the total length may be more important than I once thought...
Hi Kyle. Its looking like the L3 coil is very important as you have changed its resonant frequency by snipping a bit off and now its dropped out of the small operational window for plasma but i think all components have to be just right to see plasma from the Sec circuit and we just struck lucky.I hope you can get it going again, try a magnet on the L2.Jonny
It is my belief that in these cases we are still working within the self reonant frequency paradigm, as opposed to SRF as The Dr. states it, but for me; it's all good, and learning grounds. I'm really liking Gbluer's latest experiment tho, fantastic and a shift in a direction, I'd also like to take. Thanks jonny
Excellent! So much fun, this and Gbluer's circuit. The lowest I had plasma was at 20 mA, and after a great deal of experimentation, i came to the conclusion that many of the things I had previously thought "helped" (and unfortunately I had talked about, even...) really, were most likely only things "slightly" tuning the circuit. Eric Dollard mentions that Tesla said, the length of your tower coil, has to be a multiple, even multiple, of the other inductors, in that case the primary.
Hi GBluer. It is running at 16v ,itwon't work on less, off a wall adapter.Kyles is running at 12v with more plasma so i have a way to go yet but i am just glad that I found a setup which works.Cheers.Jonny.
what the hell, I don't understand any of those videos :p
you lot sound like mad scientists !!! :)

@jonnydavro :) by the way, in case you've forgotten (which would be understandable) it's "crazy mark" :)

Plasma, plasma, plasma - what else do we need for 2012? Thanks Kyle, and Johnny :)))))))

Very impressive setup Jonny.
What voltage are you running at?
