@tempest1331 u could do 12lbs stock but it wouldnt be safe, id say build it and turbo it so prob 5k in the end to do it right. u could run prob 6-10psi stock safely if you have a good tune and healthy engine. for just a full turbo and tune u could get by with 1.5k if you know where to look

this is dynoed on a dyno jet..... for more accurate results you need to redo it on a mustang dyno... should drop all specs by 11-14%...with corrections you are probably making close to 215-220 hp at wheels.
i have same car you have and one thing i have to ask i order a manifold with a external wastegate but it was a mistake i didnt though at the moment that my turbo had a internal wastegate so will it work if i take my turbo wastegate out and buy a external wastegate??

sleeved? jw havents sleeved my d16z6 i have stock bore with wesno 8.5.1 compression on 12lbs but its spudders.. even after a tuning sesson with my laptop, has a 2 bar map sensor 410 dsm injectors.. my friend said there is not enough air fuel mix there for somting about is be lean at idle but the car drives fine
i did the turbo. but even with the cast i couldnt keep a.c but owell, i kept the car about a month after i did it and traded it 4 a big truck. :( i miss it though. thanks any way tho
Hey, my friend and I are putting a T3/T4 turbo on his car, and just got the turbo piping, and all set up. BUT, the turbo is not spinning (it does freely) and the frickin exhaust wont hook up because the damn A/C compressor is in the way >:(. Is there a way around that so that we dont have to re bend it? also, on the piping that goes to the TB there is a round opening for the BOV. We have the BOV but no adapter/flange/mount for it. Should we just get a new BOV?

Very nice d-series. I am about to build a d-series mini-me for my 96coupe. For what it would cost to fully build a b16 after buying a motor and swapping it in is significantly more than just building your stock motor, and not a lot of people will rock a d-series motor, so more original.
I would like to know where you got the mugen valve cover though. I have an OBX and would love a mugen.

cool12291, dude...not so cool. Vitara pistons ARE NOT FORGED! You are right they cost around $ 100 bucks. Let me tell you WHY....because its made in TAIWAN by a company called Y C P. It is boxed in Japan by Nippon racing LTd. along with the Japanese made NPR piston ring set. Do it right the first time, get the real forged pistons that are made in USA! ..for around $ 500 buck..LOL.
Vitaras aren't forged but can handle over 500whp easily and with reliability. They're made of good quality of hyperethic aluminum/scilicone mix which are stronger than oem. Almost everything you got today is made in taiwan, so who cares. If your goald are under 500whp go with vitaras and reliability proven even they are made in taiwan,
Because with the same amount of money you can make the d16 faster than a b16 turbo!!! Personally i LOVE d16 motors that why i didnt go with a b16,b18 or k20!!!
How when if you get the b18c you already have 200 hp stock compared to the 127 hp on ur civic stock. ( Correct me if im wrong on your stock civic hp) I use to have a 00 civic ex and it sucked. Congrats on what u accomplished on yours.

o rly? if you're takin into acct the amount of money it takes to make the b-series fit in a d chassis then maybe theres some truth to that. however right now i see a engine built with expensive components making reliably less than 300hp. or you could take a completely stock b18b1 ls and run 10-12 psi on a 57 trim t3/t4 and hit 300whp+ easy. soo i guess it just depends on how you want to spend your money. reps to the d-series, i'm just saying b-series are better and stronger stock for stock.
i didnt notice or not whether you had a better ECU like chrome or Hondata but that would deff increase the power by a long shot. and i will say I am quite impressed with the power youve gotten out of a single cam. congrats on all the hard work man the engine bay looks gorgeous

What engine management were you using to tune your car. Still running factory ecu? obd2? Share some info please.. and nice ride!

Obd2 is non programmable so im using a P30 honda ecu from 92-95 civic!

needs to add more timing... should be making 400whp not 250... shit you can make that on a stock block if your going to build something make some power out of it.

very agreed. buddy of mine is right at 500 whp stock block crank and cam. vitara pistons eagle rods 26 lbs boost. runs low 11's. y7 head. nasty car man. love the single cams. thick as heck inside

Very nice d-series. I am about to build a d-series mini-me for my 96coupe. For what it would cost to fully build a b16 after buying a motor and swapping it in is significantly more than just building your stock motor, and not a lot of people will rock a d-series motor, so more original.
I would like to know where you got the mugen valve cover though. I have an OBX and would love a mugen.

cool12291, dude...not so cool. Vitara pistons ARE NOT FORGED! You are right they cost around $ 100 bucks. Let me tell you WHY....because its made in TAIWAN by a company called Y C P. It is boxed in Japan by Nippon racing LTd. along with the Japanese made NPR piston ring set. Do it right the first time, get the real forged pistons that are made in USA! ..for around $ 500 buck..LOL.

Vitaras aren't forged but can handle over 500whp easily and with reliability. They're made of good quality of hyperethic aluminum/scilicone mix which are stronger than oem. Almost everything you got today is made in taiwan, so who cares. If your goald are under 500whp go with vitaras and reliability proven even they are made in taiwan,

Because with the same amount of money you can make the d16 faster than a b16 turbo!!! Personally i LOVE d16 motors that why i didnt go with a b16,b18 or k20!!!

How when if you get the b18c you already have 200 hp stock compared to the 127 hp on ur civic stock. ( Correct me if im wrong on your stock civic hp) I use to have a 00 civic ex and it sucked. Congrats on what u accomplished on yours.

At the end its more fun to build a motor like this one and make enough hp to compete with even more powerfull honda's!!!Personally im a D16 FAN thats why i would never build another motor!There is nothing wrong with other honda motor's,its just me that i Love to death d16's!!! o rly? if you're takin into acct the amount of money it takes to make the b-series fit in a d chassis then maybe theres some truth to that. however right now i see a engine built with expensive components making reliably less than 300hp. or you could take a completely stock b18b1 ls and run 10-12 psi on a 57 trim t3/t4 and hit 300whp+ easy. soo i guess it just depends on how you want to spend your money. reps to the d-series, i'm just saying b-series are better and stronger stock for stock.

The "block guard" would be that spacer what sits at the top between the block and the stock sleeves to stop them from warping out of alignment?

i didnt notice or not whether you had a better ECU like chrome or Hondata but that would deff increase the power by a long shot. and i will say I am quite impressed with the power youve gotten out of a single cam. congrats on all the hard work man the engine bay looks gorgeous
