I really want them to come to my school... I go to a Christian school, but a lot of kids want a more secular band to come play for us. I think Flyleaf would be perfect, Lacey would touch a lot of kids hearts, from her experiences and her beliefs. Plus, their music rocks, so for the kids that wouldn't be interested, they would at least enjoy the music. I just really want to meet them all someday and say "thank you for bringing me closer to God."

But I think if Christianity works for you, it's cool. But one thing that bothers me is preeching. When I go to a show, I want to see/here the music. if I wanted to hear that I'd go to a mass.

would it be worth it to you then? Not trying to bait you or anything, just posing a question. Forget about believing in what she is saying. Not asking you to do that, asking whether you having to endure listening to 5 minutes of someone saying something you don't believe in is worth the life of the person standing next to you? If what she said saved one person's life, was if worth it to deny one person $10 and 5 minutes of entertainment?

That's a good point. With that being said: She clearly states that she's hit the bottom and what not. Personally, I feel as if she could still relate to modern youths and share her story saying "I got through it, so can you" without preeching about her religion to them. If she used God to help her get by that's wonderfull. I think that she could still say "I got through it and God helped me" with out preeching about it. That is my take on it, and I respect your point of view and opinion, aswell.

Flyleaf is not a Christian band, but they are a band composed of five Christians, like pahtcub said. Sure, Flyleaf's songs may reflect God, but they try to keep it subtle so everyone can listen to their music and enjoy it. Flyleaf doesn't purposely try to convert people, but they hope their music will turn people's hearts in amazing ways, or at least show people the miracles in everyday life God performs for us.

i give her major props for speaking about God at the show. i just feel she shoulda done it a bit faster for both practical and social reasons- 1.) she probably coulda fit another song in seeng as how most of their tunes are under 3 minutes 2.) most people are there for a show, not to be preached to. as long as the preaching is kept to a minimum, most people won't complain. these guys are proof that aggressive music needn't be negative music. cheers, flyleaf. you guys are fantastic.
