McMahon Helmsley Era sucked, it was the most drawn out couple months of the Greater encompassing Attitude Era. Every Raw/Smackdown started out with the McMahon/Helmsley Faction coming to the ring. discussing their beefs and then setting subsequent matches for the night.

It lasted like 6 months, Austin was out for neck surgery, and the Rock was the main protagonist but barely scored a victory over them. still better than todays product but the worst of the best then

@Pinkranger87 I thought HHH was cheating on Chyna with Stephanie before this Era and their affair was the reason she started this storyline. Thats why everyone says he slept his was to the top. At least thats what Chyna said. And also that they started the storyline so they could be closer and so that HHH would tell Chyna that he had to go to the office with Steph so they could discuss the story a lot. And thats why Chyna left eventually. Also the reason why Chyna isnt in the Hall Of Fame yet.

well not everyone and only uninformed biased people say that,

hhh became wwe champion even while he was dating chyna its in his book, chyna's interviews, mcmahon's book). hunter was destined to be a champion even before he had slept with steph..thats a fact people forget

& when he broke up the storyline marriage of test & steph and then forcibly married steph...in real life he was still dating chyna then,

he & steph got together much later, in the midst of the mcmahin-helmsley era

I know you wrote this a year ago but I just wanted to say that I kind of get what you mean... but I don't really consider this the signifying end of the Attitude era. Maybe early 2001 with the conclusion of the wars but not this. 2000 had as much 'attitude' as '98 and '99 did. And as for The Rock taking Austin's spot, I don't think it hurt the WWF at all because The Rock was just as popular as Steve Austin.

@IR305 attitude era ended with the Invasion angle (Summer 2001) if you ask me because that officially expanded the roster and the tragic events of 9/11 put another nail in its coffin changing "RAW IS WAR" back to just "RAW" and within 8 months came the Brand Extension and another couple months after that....the name changed from WWF to WWE (late spring 2002). just kinda phased out when the name changed the campaign ended, the ring crew & camera men t shirts, and banners read "attitude" b4 that

cause it's funny to watch garbage like this compared to where it was years ago. and no hhh wasn't married with steph at the time the atittude era was going on. they dated for awhile. but it was never made official until after the atittude era ended. roughly around 03/04. then the new wwe writers took over in 2005 and changed history. making it look like steph and hhh just met.
