The term is best understood into it's language and there is no equivalent in English language for it. So zeitgeist meas zeitgeist, you can't translate it because the translation will have a different meaning than the original word.

I am a fan of the movie but the more i learn about it the more i am reminded of a great book i've read "A brave new world" by Aldo Huxley. I totally understand this was fiction, but i gives me chills to think this could be a reality. I hope I'm wrong and i will be researching more about it.

The problem is that in many areas the colonial powers have set up borders that cut the people off from the hurds. Mining has stripped the land of it's ability to produce viable food and foreign diseases have stripped the quality of life of many. I understand the damage that the corporations can cause, but many have their cultural mores in place and won't be duped, others will but neither will starve in the process and starvation creates weak resistence to the status quo.

it actually means more than the literal translation 'timeghost', zeitgeist means the 'spirit of an society and it's age', the political, moral, ethical, intellectual and cultural climates in a specific time frame, an age. The term is best understood into it's language and there is no equivalent in English language for it. So zeitgeist meas zeitgeist, you can't translate it because the translation will have a different meaning than the original word.
