  • This is a favorite of mine from way back! My dad had the 45rpm- I still have it somewhere but hadn't heard it in years. Seems like now that my dad's gone these old tunes mean more to me- all the good memories he and I shared. Thanks for posting!

  • bien

    good

  • Check out our Aussie version by MPD Ltd - a trio who had a great cover hit of JB's song

  • @birt49 Much better in my opinion. Although I guess I am more biased to that sharp 60s garage sound.

  • @LaurenBoxhall

We all have our favourites and biases. I presume you're from the US where fortunately you had mega artists to listen to choose from. Many of them where my favourites in the early 60's ....... but then the music scene lightened up considerably here in Australia - out of the woodwork - it was fabulous.

All the best, and keep on rockin' and rollin'

    Birt.

  • @birt49 I'm from Australia??

  • @LaurenBoxhall

Even better............being an Aussie. I just visited your music channel and note that your likes from the 60's are what I refer to as left field. Songs/some bands that flew into the charts and disappeared from the radio very quickly (blues magoos, procol harem, the allusions etc) have become a passion for me to find again. There are heaps out there that bring back good memories.

  • Check out my listing on Ebay if you would like to own this 45RPM record in Near Mint condition! zardozz@comcast.net

  • Notice the guitar lick in the background; it was used many times later, in Tommy Tucker's 'High Heel Sneakers,' and in Derek and the Dominos' 'Layla.'

  • My favorite Johnny Burnette song, along with his spectacular version of LOVE ME

  • thank you!

  • One of the most covered songs in rock and roll. Paul Petersen, Herman's Hermits, the MPD Limited and Bill Phillips all released their own interpretations of it before the end of the '60s.

  • His voice is so ...............SMOOTH

  • I loved this song... still do.

  • can't find it any place else. this was my first listen... i assume. thanks!

  • From the late Johnny Burnette to his late Brother Dorsey Burnette To the 80,s and Rocky Burnette. What a family Tree!
