I grow my own food in the summer but I'm stuck in the winter months. I am now going to make sure that I buy only organic seeds. Funny in the past I always thought these darn organic seeds don't sprout as easy but now I understand why.

I am currently not a patron of Monsanto. I have grown Monsanto brands in the past, but I have my seed bought for 2011, and non of it is Monsanto.

Why? Because folks need to know who is behind the proliferation of GMOs in their food supply. More and more folks vow to avoid Monsanto products without acknowledging that they have never bought any.

The food industry has driven change, and is demanding a inexpensive raw material of consistant quality. State Universities, Seed Companies, and the American Farmer has stepped up and met that need.

The American Consumer can't get enough of the GMO food experience. Cars are designed for meals on the go. Kids love anything marketed by a cartoon character (and the parents buy it.)

It has more strains of corn then any other location in the world. It's up to all of us as on so many other issues as well to correct if we can.
