Great shot and perspective! Does this truck only pack to clear the hopper or can you manually pack all the way to the rear without the tailgate open? I asked ThaThunderStorm for a similar video a couple of years ago to show the hydraulics fully packing. He managed to get a great shot for me in that video. My question is if it doesnt allow full packing do you think the garbage would be compacted better if you could manually pack to the rear after each stop vs. packing the hopper opening only?
would your camera be safe in this same position while dumping cans? The trucks that I operated at Pratt/Visy had hopper cams set up identical to this, and we cld monitor the hopper for contaminates and also see the contents of the cans as we emptied them, this wld make a great vid idea for ya if it was safe for your camera of course
Yeah I didn't even think about the tailgate possibly being seen. After I dumped it I realized it might be possible to see the load on the floor. That's why I pulled the blade back. This one was really lucky. Got it on the first try.
seen 1 truck at the dump doing the same as you only the blade came off too he was like WTF happend im like dude the blade broke off and slid down the hill at the landfill he's like hey go down and get it i was like F that
lets just say i wouldnt have been able too lift it not that i was gonna try and this is the same driver that left his cab door open and the dude in the bulldozer got too close and tore the door off I laughed my ass off of course he was cussing out the dude in the dozer i was laughing my ass off and the fucker left me at the dump witch got him a 1 week suspension next week he got fired for leaving a mess in the parkway
the blade on a front end truck weights over 2000 pounds depending on the make and model. They are very heavy and reinforced in the corners where the cylinders force the blade forward. The face plate is AR (abbrassion resistant) steel. No plastic in these trucks, the body has to resist the stress of being punished all day!
