I saw them as a 11 year-older and was instantly in love with all of them. They were and still are fiiiiinnnne! One of the most underrated powerfully multi-talented family acts! I had their albums, plus Keni's who was the breakout brother in the group! I will forever love them!
As you may recall Kool (pre-jeri curl days) & the Gang were are NOI members when Light of Worlds and Open Sesame were introduced. I can't speak to the flavor inside 'the ranks' but for all the good and not so good of those days the vibe in the USA amongest Black people was found in the music of Motown and with other artists. Man, I'd happily trade those days for what we have today.
Me too, the music that I hear now is really an insult to our people it for the most part crude and vulgar. while I have move from the Nation in a lot of ways but am still a soldier in our art and culture for our people. PEACE....
I use to listen to this when I was a memeber of the Nation of Islam, and I thought that one could be creative and still be a Muslim and that we could be cool and still be a Muslim. Well, that was a long time ago
Smooth. This was played on D.C.'s WHUR on the Original Quit Stom by the Late Melvin Lindsey. Thanx Heyroz27 for posting this lost classic. R.I.P. Melvin.

This song is so smooth. I think United, or American Airlines was going to use it at one time.
