Yes, you can run an independent line to the outside of the house. Make sure that you do not have any restrictions on the line. The vent should have air flowing in and out of the unit.
I have this toilet, and I've been having trouble with venting. My plumber could not tie into the main venting pipe, so he attached and indoor vent pipe, that you would use for an island sink in your kitchen. The toilet wasn't flushing correctly, so i took the vent pipe off to see if that was the problem. Well it was. Is there another type of vent pipe to attach to this unit, that would give it the correct venting it needs?
@gibby462 - Indoor vents do not work with the Saniflo systems since the units need to have air flowing on both directions. One way vent systems will not let air to come in into the pump and therefore, the flush on the system will have less force.
@gibby462 You need to run a straight open pipe to the outside of the house. No type of 1 way air vents such as(cheater,mechanical or any other 1 way air vents)
keeping the pump box in the wall can cause some trouble, ive worked on these toilets all the time and sometimes the pumps have trouble with too many solids and needs to be worked on
@Tulls - There has to be definitely some sort of access to the pump. If items other than toilet paper and waste go through the Saniplus, this may get clogged on the blade.
The systems that can handle more than human waste and toilet paper are the Sanibest, Sanigrind and Sanicubic. These units can handle sanitary napkins such as tampons, condoms, etc.

3:41 looks like Yon is holding 1 inch PVC... has to be 3/4 for the saniplus
3:48 - yikes I think I'd want a more permanent coupling there.
with the 16" extension they are using, the manual says to raise the toilet 3/8"

@hystat the manual that comes with the Saniplus states you can use 1" or 3/4" pipe.
