you talk such shit calliope : this is not French "lied" but a light , almost cabaret like chanson, where portamento is of the essence of the style - i bet you probably just don't like portamento.... Also the throatiness in the voices is perfectly appropriate for this kind of 'music-hall' style that the music evokes. Most of the French voices that originally interpreted it were a  touch throaty anyway .

Furthermore sometimes she abuses too of the volume and makes sudden fortes. This is not an aria from an opera! This is a french lied!

But far away from that it's one of the best interpretations I've seen in youtube. I like their tempo. A pity her abusing of the portamentos which destroy her perfomance so much.

Her voice is awesome but she makes too much portamenti, and this leads to many out of tune notes and also many throat sounds (so a lack of a diaphragm technique at least in that moments). Sometimes singers forget the composition is already done (plus done by a composer, not by a fish dealer to be underestimated as she does) and they add sort of "own interpretation elements".
