@jetibest Well, this movie was trying to include humor, but it was focused more on the plot rather than English acting like an idiot. It is much more darker than the first film, yet it still has that amusing and humorous feeling. The music was made to compensate with the dark plot. You can't expect the music to be similar to the first film, since they are two separate films.

In my opinion the Johnny English Reborn movie sucked because of lacking a good soundtrack. This soundtrack is way worse than it's predecessor. Remember how the previous one kinda started with man for all seasons? the funny tune as main theme? hell yea, that was music! This soundtrack really sucks, that's why the movie was way less fun to watch, nobody will ever remember this one..

@TheirRevenge Obviously you don't know what you're talking about. Perhaps you should try watch a movie without music? Perhaps you should number up all most famous movies you know, and rate the quality of the soundtracks of those movies. If you have done that, then you may reply to me constructed with good arguments.

And why else you think Steven Spielberg lets John Williams compose ALL his movie scores? He actually said Jaws would be only half as succesful, if it wasnt for John..

@PlayitBough haven't found it yet, but i was at the world premiere with atkinson and i remember they hinted at the johnny english theme from the first film in that track too. the music composers website has his email address so maybe ask him

Does anyone know if the music that plays before the opening credits - during the shadowed meeting of MI7 people who decide to get English back - is on the soundtrack album? It features an invocation of the theme from Rowan Atkinson's original Barclaycard adverts, which I thought was a very nice touch, even if he's not technically playing the same character here.
