@JulieNorthumberland - MY DEAREST JULIE, THERE WAS NOTHING 'SUBTLE' ABOUT THE SARCASM OR HUMOR IN MY POST AT ALL - AS A MATTER OF FACT, THE FAIRER SEX WAS NOT THE POINT OF MY JOKING AROUND AT ALL.
BUT, NOW THAT YOU MENTION IT - MOST WOMEN WOULD DO SOCIETY AGREAT SERVICE IF THEY STAYED BARE-FOOT, PREGNANT, AND IN THE DAMN KITCHEN COOKING - YOU MY DEAR MAY PASS ON THE FIRST TWO, BUT IF YOU COULDN'T SEE THE HUMOR IN MY POST AS A PLAY ON THE TITLE OF THE SONG IN THE VIDEO, WELL HIT THE KITCHEN!
I like what Eva did with this classic C&W hit by Patsy Cline. The instrumentation drives it a little harder and gives it a bluesy feel. Vocally, Eva gave it little Janis Joplin flavor for a rocking R&B feel. Unique treatment that emphasizes Eva's talent. I feel I have lost so much in not knowing of her when she walked among us.
@VASINGER You are wrong, Eva put as much feeling into her singing as Patsy, Eva had a greater vocal range than Patsy. I invite you to listen to Eva in different styles of different songs, you can't make a judgement like we are making after only one song. Eva was a ONE OF A KIND, for that matter so was Elvis and Patsy, They were all outstanding.
@Hutzjohn Patsy had a superb range, but thats not whats important, its all about delivery. Patsy Cline had such a unique unmistakable voice with so much soul and personality, it can never be duplicated. Eva was a wonderful vocalist, but she sang more from technique rather than her own personality . I have heard many Eva songs, and I think her singing was pleasant, but Patsy was just something that is so rare as a vocalist- she was the female Elvis.
Eva is surely missed, she could sing anything and make it exceptional...even Patsy material...hadn't heard this before, thanks for sharing.

Maybe she's strapped up when she's walking after midnight, think of that?

Makes you wish for a simpler time when it was safe to walk after midnight.

@jehovahuponyou I sincerely hope I have missed some subtle sarcasm here and that you are not simply being oppressive towards women

This wonderful lady was probably the most gifted female singers ever. Damn she was really really good for me to say over Patsy Cline.

@VASINGER Well let's just agree to disagree with the agreement that they were both Fantastically gifted singers. that will probably never be equaled.

@Hutzjohn I agree with that , for sure . And I usually dont care for female vocals.

Eva sang every genre and made each song her own I don't think she would have had that freedom if she had a traditional contract. Thank god for us.
