  • Those nasty murderous bastards!!! How dare they slaughter natures beauty for their disgusting greed!!!! And really, attacking the SSCS because their documenting their demonic actions??

  • WAHAHAHA! The Sealers are dumbasses!

    GO SEA SHEPHERD!!!

  • nice job sea sheperd !

  • this is why i couldnt join sea shepherd

if that fuckboy in the green approached me i would have knocked him on his ass stomped him out took his club then hunted his friends

  • Same here. Sea Shepherd people are too nice. The whole sanctity of life idea does nothing for me. I just like fluffy baby animals better than people. I know it is paradoxical to be ok with skinning a smelly canadian seal hunter but not a seal but I make no excuse for who I am.

  • sealers are cowards and you're retarded

  • i would fucken club those hunters to death and just shoot them in the ocean no joke..whos going to catch me?

  • don't u just hate it when activists get in the way of ur seal clubbing

  • i hate it when kids try to look tough on the internet

  • i hate when i try too look like a coward and im a KID

  • low life ppl whit low life jobs, kill for money,

  • watch?v=bW_eskpBYMQ&fmt=18

    Butyric acid is a poison.

    Avoid all contact.

    Skin burns.

    Loss of Vision.

  • i like how they save whales but who cares about fuckin seals, i hate sea lions there fuckin dogs!!!

  • I like that you like whales but seals are the same

  • January 5, 09

Investigator fell from the Oceanographic ship that counts number of whales, to the Antarctic Ocean.

    8:00PM, January 6,2009

Sea Shepherd has approached the oceanographic ship with a no lamplight. (Lack of common sense)

And, Sea Shepherd obstructed rescue operation for two hours.

    Investigator is still missing now.

  • This killing is senseless, thoughtless and downright barbarically cruel. Where do I sign up to get on that ship???

  • Why are they interfering with a legal hunt?

  • Its a protest for it to stop

  • Yea I was wondering the same thing, there against it yet they won't go to the goverment and try to change something they go and interfere with the hunters with clubs...

  • the sealers are so violent, and need to stop killing seals. but the jappanese whalers are worse.

  • Absolutely Shrap,

And many of the reasons these sealers have used have all been debunked. BN get your facts straight my friend.

  • Looks like the Sea Shepards were attacking our sealers......

  • Were you actually watching the above video? Can you actually tell the differnce between the Sea Shepherds and the sealers?

It looks to me like the Shepherds were just trying to talk to the sealers.

  • I'll never buy another Canadian product until this senseless killing stops.

  • I don't see any laws being broken. The Sea Shepherd crew was just standing there. The hunters were the ones who approached them and acted aggressively.

  • icelandic2008. are you saying that things should not be done as they are in nature? when a pack of wolves or other carnivore targets it's prey is heartless of them to target the young, old and weak ones? it is how nature has worked for billions of years. the young, the old and the injured are the first to go. they are dead before they can even feel any pain. to me, hunting deer or anything else with a gun is far more inhumaine. the animals often suffer a slow painfull death upon being shot.

  • protestors are going about it the wrong way... they target the canadian sealers for doing something which is a way of life, part of history. perhaps a more strategic method would to target the consumers, get people to stop purchasing seal product. Clearly if the quoto has been increased, then the demand for seal pelt has increased as well. it is a supply-demand thing, if no one wants the seal, then the hunt will end... duh. most protestors are just protesting for the sake of protesting...

  • A lot of the seal killers are paid, yes, paid by fur companies all over the world to kill babies just for their fur. America has banned the import of seal fur from Canada (for once we are doing something right for animals). The problem is, people are in the dark about seal hunting. It is up to us to educate them, and in the mean time, save as many lives as we can. The beauty of activism is that we can embrace a variety of tactics...from armchair activism, to protesting, or direct action!

  • the seal hunt here hasn't killed baby seals in almost 20 years... "activists" just show baby seals being slaughtered (videos from the 80's). Because of course, baby seals being killed looks a lot worse than 100lb beasts. Seals are overpopulated, and are exponentially growing alone. Cod stocks are depleting because seals eat more than their share. The Canadian gov is targeted because it's a soft. Why not Russia? a far bigger industry there. Any animal looks bad dead when a white sheet is put down

  • Erm...no...Cod stocks aren't depleting because of the seals, human overfishing is. The seals depend on fish to survive. With the exception of indigenous people who hunt seals, we don't need fish to nourish our bodies. We are throwing the ecosystem out of balance because of our perverse over-harvesting of natural resources.

  • Plus, hunting to control populations is a misconception. Hunters actually contribute to overpopulation. There is less competition between seals when there are fewer in an area, thus boosting the survival rates.

  • there are more important issues in the world than the well being of an overpopulated marine mammal in the north atlantic. i am not a huge supporter of the seal hunt, but nor am i a protestor, i simply have better things to do than to disturb the well-being of thousands of canadians. Destroying humans lives is worse than killing an overpopulated species in my eyes. my main complaint is that more of the discarded product should be reserved for more useful purposes opposed to being waste.

  • The seal hunts are motivated by profit of fur companies across the world who pay people to kill seals, which is why hundreds of thousands of carcasses are just left there. Plus, you are wrong about "destroying human lives is worse than killing an overpopulated species..."

  • If you knew anything of ecology, without humans, the world would go on, unaffected. But if a single species, whether it be marine life, or something that seems as insignificant as an ant population disappears, our world would be thrust into chaos. There is a web that connects us all, from plant, to animal, to even the abiotic. We are already seeing problems with honey bees being wiped out. If we don't care for the planet now, we have no future.

  • everyone has their own opinion, i believe in animals rights but i will always put human life first. i think someone must have foolish priorities if they feel otherwise. but hey, everyone has their own opion and i am ok with that. And yeah, i agree, if they are going to be killing the seals, they should make better use other than just the fur and a few other minor things.

  • i agree that we should take care of the earth. I am a huge supporter of it, but you are just kind of uneducated on the fact, and have a strong bias. Seal is definitely not extinct, nor endangered, nor extirpated, nor threated in any way. Whereas there are 1000's of species who are suffering a different fate, but they recieve no attention. Every 40 seconds another species goes extinct. Chaos has not yet struck. I believe in helping the endangered, the seals are not on my concerned list.

  • You have no idea on how delicate the ecosystem and all it's marine inhabitants is and the effect it has on humans. A poll by the American Museum of Natural History finds that seven in 10 biologists believe that mass extinction poses a colossal threat to human existence, a more serious environmental problem than even its contributor, global warming; and that the dangers of mass extinction are woefully underestimated by almost everyone outside science.

  • i totally agree, it's important to prevent "mass extinction", however seal stocks are not depleting... when they do i will be prepared to protest the seal hunt. but i don't see that happening.

  • The canadian seal hunters haven't killed baby seals in almost 20 years??? Ummm, where do you get your info from? Canada's 2008 annual commercial seal hunt in the Gulf of St Lawrence and around Newfoundland, Quebec and Nova Scotia began on March 28. The hunting season lasts from mid-November to mid-May, but the hunt mainly occurs in March and April. Regardless of the specifics of when and where the hunting happens, that fact remains, it does still happen.

  • and i would have skinned your family alive and made you watch, mr. "guywiththeguns". nice name by the way. ohhh, i'm scared.

  • first of all legolas your a pussy get some balls no one likes you and second the crew got their asss kicked

  • I don't agree with some of the ideals and methods used by them greenies.

But my love for animals makes me laugh, especially when poachers and hunters get their asses handed to them.

  • if i was one of those hunters i woulda clubbed you tree huggin fag hippies in the face

  • Typical aggressive Canadian seal clubbers!

Only such aggressive heartless people could kill young defenceless seals.

  • typical agressive protesters... they are breaking the law in this video. you will never hear that though.

If the protesters dont wanna get hurt, stay away from the hunters.

  • Maybe the protestors act a bit aggressive, maybe they are injuring the law.. why not? If you wait until protest is allowed, it is no protest anymore, and without the world would have stayed in the Neolithikum. I have respect for people like the SeaSheperds, Greenpeace and others.
