@PinkFloydrulez: We keep trying to tell people, but it's hard to get past all the Top 40 singles. The deep cuts like this never get played on rock radio.
I love this..the horns are just as awesome as my beloved Terry Kath's voice!!!These guys..in the Kath era were untouchable. Thank you for posting this and again, Thank you Terry Kath, Walt p. Robert L, Lee L Danny and Jimmy P for you creativity, for the music that's 30+ yrs old and still is in touch with the social events of today.
I joined the Army 11-1-71, Ft. Ord, during Vietnam. This album helped me keep my compess. The entire alblum is a masterpiece. Chicago has remained a lasting American center piece of homegrown music to rock the soul by.
To truely know how Chicago music was, One needs to listen the Full Vynil 33 rpm Long Plays, one by one, from side A to side B, that is the only way to understand the excellent work of Chicago including musical compositions, lyrics and all of that miscelaneous....
AMO ESTA CANCIÓN! me costó muchísimo dar con el nombre, la escuchaba seguido en Ensalada de Locos! por fin HOY la encontré :), estoy feliz... ajajajaja.
To my Chicago-loving friends and those who aren’t sure: If you want to buy an innovative Chicago album that didn’t pander to the corporate need for singles, Chicago III is the one to buy. No question about it. According to Wikipedia, it was recorded when the band was worn out and verging on exhaustion. And yet it is superb. The only singles are Lowdown and Free and, ironically, they are minor works compared to the rest of the album. And Terry Kath’s playing and songwriting shines. Buy it now.
this is a very BIG special from CHICAGO, i did not heard in more than 30 years, then about one year ago i found the vinyl with the poster. this is a flash back... when i was a kid i sat in the living room of my grand ma', and play it in the "MODULAR STEREO". i want t go back 8>)
Love Love Love this song, it's my favorite Chicago song of all time.NOBODY does it like Terry, I MISS HIM SOOOO MUCH. I'll Be happy when I go home to see him!!
@masquenada8 It's Danny Serapine baby!!! THE most underrated rock/jazz drummer!! This song rocks like yesterday!! These 20-something boys in their Terry Kath era could kick some serious booty. Then turn around, come back and kick some MORE!! Rock On Chicago!!
The live version of this song on Live at Carnegie Hall is superb. When you listen to how Terry totally changes playing this live and really makes this song rock it's easy to see how he was the heart and soul of the band.
Wow! I had forgotten about this album. I'm gonna have to dig mine out, dust it off and give it a spin. Thanks for reminding me how great music used to sound!
i didn't know chicago was actually cool
