New Alpine Head unit, 2005 Ranger

Sony head unit looks the best in carradio's. second are the Pioneers that looks good. Kenwood and Alpine looks seriously like toy the display buttons.. looks really ugly in compare with the Sony's and Pioneers

Well it's true that the Alpine's has way better quality sound in compare with Sony Kenwood Jvc or Pioneer. But what i ment was, the looks from this head unit.. think that Sony has better looks. But it's very awesome that the Alpine's really has 4x 50 watts rms and not like other carradio's 4x50 watts and 15 watts rms !

there is a USB connection and a blue-tooth connection. You can buy adaptors for the USB, I got an Ipod adaptor.

then if there is no aux? mp3 jack then thins unit is only for i pod. i got a zune. my pioneer unit is made for i pod. that part suks.

how much was this setup? $299 ??? and what came with it? stereo and ???,in my truck i went with a Pioneer deck (i am a huge fan of Pioneer electronics) and since my truck never came with speakers in the door from factory! (yep lol) i had to get some "6 round Pioneers, and there is a cool spot in my truck for a speaker in the center of my dash on top (i want a center speaker!) and i got a nice box that holds two 10" Rockfordfosgate Punch Subwoofers, just need to get a amplifier now,it should kick

@BRENTHENRY1989 yeah, I got the Head unit, then all the brackets, spacers, instructions, a CD, mounting plates, adaptors, DIN sleeve, radio removal tools, Ipod cable and customer support were all free.

congrats on getting it to work! i guess that one wire didn't matter, anyways you got a nice little spot under the radio now, i think the old one took up that spot, i am guessing you needed a filler panel to accept the narrow new radio, also what is right with Lady Ga Ga? lol lol lol i really can't stand modern music, Rap... i mean Crap and all that other jive they call music nowadays is garbage to me! lol lol and your speakers sound fine for stock,

@harryballz18 well it wouldnt come off, I did try to rewire it, but it was easier just to wire it up to the radio harness, it works fine

theres a little clip you have to push in to get it off to bad you didnt live closer would have set you up good with a stereo i get a buch of stuff free my friends dad works for sgi and i get alot of good stuff

Sweet. Thats way better than the stock unit. In my opinion, a stereo sounds the best with the treble all the way up and the bass t around 80%.
