  • Most of what is shown in this video can be done with old DC control. It is more complicated to control with block switching, but far less expensive and no real compatibility issues.

DCC is fancy and very versatile, but there are some serious down sides to it.

  • @MMODoubter

Thank you for your comment. You may be right about the higher cost of DCC compared to analog DC control but DCC is what I dreamt since I was a child. Driving 2 or more engines in the same track as almost imposible for me without a complex block wiring and DCC resolved my problem.

I wasn't worried about the cost because I designed and build all my dcc circuits (command station, mobile decoder, autoreverser) so it was cheap and fun. I took much time though.

  • I like to see the old tyco trains still being used. I had them as a kid and still think they're cool. Nice Job.

  • Why have the engines tones like a tractor?

  • Hello,

The sound is mechanical and with the electric motor. There is no DCC sound here..

  • i like the chessie system, and the bm locomotives

  • Me too, man.

  • This is my own built dcc controller.

  • cool awesome!!!

  • Thank you!
