It's really disheartening to see such a great idea taken have taken the crucifixion and changed the account. Jesus was very clearly not hung by his wrists. This is a new thing never found in church history. It's not an OK thing to do. The hand and the feet are hugely symbolic. It's not an OK thing to do to change that. Really sad to see this inaccuracy.

I found this in the oddest of circumstances. From a game news site where someone used Jesus Christ as an exclamation of something less than whole some and linked this video. The still frame made me think, "Oh dear."

Now, however, I was surprised and somewhat disappointed that I didn't see this earlier. While not perfect, it's a very good telling of the last day. It keeps to the Jesus story and provides a nice side commentary of the other thief that died with him.

@gooaygar Most Christians or denominations don't go by what the Bibile says. (I respect everyone else's oponions/beliefs or thoughts). The Bible says God created EVERYTHING during a 6 day period (Sunday to Friday) and chose the 7th day (Saturday) to rest. I worship on the 7th day, so I'm Seventh Day Adventist. Most Christians worship on Sunday. That's an example.

Now back to the Big Bang Theory: Look at yourself again. Do you think an explosion creates the beautiful being that you are?

The verse says (From my NIV version, but that just affects syntax) "A certain man from Cyrene, Simon, the father of Alexander and Rufus, was passing by on his way in from the country, and they forced him to carry the cross." The King James Version also says they told him to carry the cross, but with syntax we aren't used to. While it makes no mention of him resisting, he was still told by the soldiers to carry it.

In Mark 15, verse 21 (Which is the verse for the man told to carry Jesus' cross), the NIV says "A certain man from Cyrene, Simon, the father of Alexander and Rufus, was passing by on his way in from the country, and they (the Roman guards) forced him to carry the cross." So the verse itself actually does state that he was told, by the guards, to carry Jesus' cross.

Jesus died in order to give us eternal life. If we want it, we accept him as our lord and savior. He died for us, and he did not preach in the wrong time. He preached in the right time, because God doesn't make mistakes, and God sent his only son at the right time. In fact, I think we would have believed less had Jesus come at any other time, what with all this technology and science, so we just simply pat ourselves on the backs and say we can get along just fine, but that's not true.
