@TANSD If a lion sees you, you're probably in its territory, humans don't just happen to bump into animals, they specifically search for them and slaughter them alive. E.g The leather industry is absolutely horrifying to animals. I understand that humans do need to eat meat as a part of a cycle of life on earth but killing animals for pleasures such as animal skin should be banned but sadly it never will be.

And while I don't have a huge problem with the leather industry since I wear a leather belt, I agree that the treatment of animals in some industrial facilities is quite bad. The animal testing facilities(which by the way, have animals bred and raised for testing too), in fact create several different types of medicine which have saved MILLIONS of lives. E.g The leather industry is absolutely horrifying to animals. The animal testing facilities(which by the way, have animals bred and raised for testing too), in fact create several different types of medicine which have saved MILLIONS of lives. What difference does it make if I look at their profiles? They're probably all anti-veg, pro-hunting, pro-fur etc. I can gather enough info from their comments. I wasn't trying to provoke a shitstorm, I was only speaking my mind.

And screaming and claiming everyone's an animal abuser just makes you even more of a moron. A good number of people (at least I know of) hate PETA due to the fact the organization claims "to love animals," when they turn around and kill 10,000+ healthy dogs and cats since '98, sue animal responsible sanctuaries, etc.

when the alf blows things up, they do not kill humans or animals, its only property damage, and they do it to SAVE LIVES. that is not terrorism that is heroism. if they wont give up the animals, then they will be forced to break in and take them. sorry. i would rather destroy a building if it was the only way to save the lives of innocent animals. none of it would have to happen if there was no animal cruelty to begin with.

i dont want you to be dead! so many people think "oh, animal testing,.i mean its sad but its sercving a greater purpose" but the truth is THOUSANDS OF TESTS are done with the outcomes amounting to NOTHING. there are so many practices that go on that the public is intentionally kept from. so many of these animals test dont even qualify becuase the results on animals is different than the results on humans. for exacmple,penicillin wasnt used on humans becuase it had negative animal testing results

a pump that is placed on the main artery to support hearts of patients on heart transplant waiting lists.
Lithium is a common psychoactive drug.
I'm not a researcher, I'm just someone who is grateful for modern medicine unlike you.
20 million people in America alone have to inject insulin (originally developed from dogs. AND is used by one of the vice presidents of PeTA) to survive. And that's only diabetes.

Since 1900 the world life expectancy has risen from 50 years to 76 years.
Thanks to modern medicine, mostly tested on animals.
Drugs tested on animals have already saved my life twice.
Even if these numbers you pulled out of your ass are true, they are still faaar lower than the lives who are saved.

That's not true. People are living longer because of better sanitation but our health is increasingly worse with cancer, diabetes, asthma & other illnesses all on the increase..

You pros say the same things, don't you have your own minds?Haven't you learnt anything from talking to animal rights people about their views & principles?
Obviously not, & that explains why you cling on to an outatded practice too.
Get into the 21st century will you, we don't need to test on animals. There are species specific methods that are obviously more relevant to humans and therefore more accurate!

Drugs are safer and more efficient when they are put on the market.
Environmental factors won't interfere with results.
The Chimp and mouse genome have been mapped, making the research more predictable.
Roughly 90% of medical discoveries & breakthroughs are the result of animal testing.

Cons:
Although uncommon, New drugs may have negative results in humans.
Most test results amount to nothing.
Sadistic behaviour in Researchers is possible.
I think Animal Testing is an efficient way to develop medical treatments.
But I believe in the three R's and testing cosmetics on animals is wrong.

I agree with the many experts in the field worldwide who want safer medicines with species specific methods instead of using animals that are biologically, physiologically and anatomically different!!
Are you sure you are not a 'researcher' because it is typical of them to ALWAYS bring up diabetes?
In fact I know that diabetes treatments were DELAYED for decades because of trusting results from animal!
