@listentocky2007 Have you played the game??? Ahhhh having the football in your hands slows you down a lot.... If he beat him or was even close with the ball in his hand..... without he smashes Hill. He won Vic School Boys 100m.
No he didn't. Before Wilkinsons record of 2.72 seconds for the 20m sprint.
You had Daniel Pearce from Port Adelaide ran a 2.79, Ashley Smith ran a 2.80, Jack Watts ran a 2.82, Hill ran a 2.83, Naitanui ran a 2.87.
Either way Dangerfield is quicker than Hill over 100m. No doubt about that. Some guys are quick of the mark but don't have great top speeds, Hill is quicker than Dangerfield in most cases around the ground.
Dangerfield is faster than Hill. Watch the run he did after... Hill should have caught him if he was faster... he didn't... therefore Patty is faster.
@meisterdeluxe Hah, if he'd caught him easily he wouldn't have been falling over himself to try and lay a tackle. Hill is quicker over the first few steps no doubt, but Dangerfield is a power runner and doesn't hit full stride until around the 20m mark. Besides, if you saw his next run a few minutes later, you'd see he quite clearly outran Hill, while bouncing the ball no less.
Either way, in a few years both of them are going to be two of the best players going around.
@deliver1 he did catch him easy its right in front of you , Hill was positioned well behind dangerfield , its hard to keep your balance when your moving as fast as Hill is , let alone apply a tackle timed to perfection , Hill is the faster sprinter no doubt , dangerfield would have a chance of taking him in a 400m race though
@meisterdeluxe Well actually, what's right in front of you is exactly what I said. His first few steps are incredibly fast, but at full pace, he's really no quicker at all. Couple that with his lack of strength and he never had a chance.
Did you happen to see the similar run which happened no more than 5 minutes later? Dangerfield left him for dead while bouncing the ball.
@deliver1 yeh i saw that run , he was totally burnt out at that stage apparently (said freo's coach harvey) , and I think he had more impressive stats in that game too , but yeh I just watched an old video of a grand final sprint Hill was in , and he just dropped away about half way and rhys stanley won it , looks like he had a different physique back then but , looks more athletic now , hope this years grand final sprint includes Hill , Wojcinski and Dangerfield
The fact he burned off Stephan Hill - twice! Just shows how strong/quick and talented he is. In a year or two, Dangerfield could find himself with a Brownlow medal.

Did everyone see Dangerfield win the half time run award. Fastest player in the AFL. Well you ran.
