1. Count Von Count has said he is from Transylvania Transylvania is a part of Romania. This scene was set in Scotland. Scotland is in western Europe. Romania is in central, southeastern europe. So, they are NOT the same.

Thank you so much for posting this! When I was in Kindergarten, I wanted so badly to be in the talent show and volunteered to sing this song. So there I was, 5 years old, singing this on stage with my mom in the audience, worrying that I'd forget the lines but I loved the song so much it just wasn't possible. I'm 26 now and still love watching the old home movie of that moment. Such a wonderful song with a great message.
This is one of my favorite all-time Sesame Street songs. It never fails to bring a lump to my throat - partly just from nostalgia, and also because it has a great message: your self-esteem can suffer when you to compare yourself to others. Everyone has different talents and abilities that contribute something to the world.
If that song if from Scotland, don't you guys think it'd be funny & kinda cute if Kermit sang it with a Scottish accent? This is fine, but it's be cute.
I think what happened was. That sketch with the count having a picnic out in front of his castle was taped on the same day as this so they just used the same set. They did that sometimes back in the day to save money.
@VerticleSandwich - No... It inspires me too... Kermit always inspires me(: (Was that weird?(; )

No question about it. The best Sesame Street song next to this frog.

This song is nothing short of brilliant. Very lifting and touching. One of Kermit's finest hours, no questions asked.

This is a fantastic song. Kermit got great songs on Sesame Street. I love young Ted--it's adorable when he calls Kermit "Mr. Kermit."

Wonderful! That was released on a couple CDs, but I'd never seen the video that went with it. Very nice!
