How about a windcatcher that is shaped like a double helix and mounted vertically.. It would be omnidirectional/not have to face the wind. Couple it to the turbine with a centrifugal clutch.
Paul, Sounds like a cool idea. but maybe a little too advanced of a project for myself, Im just trying not to burn the house down! Definitely worth looking into though. Thanks!
Maybe you should cut the trees down, they're in your way blocking the wind. We should also promote clear cutting, the forest animals are tired of always being in the shade they want a little sunlight.
