I can't believe no one has pointed out that this option is only available on phones that have HTC Sense. People with other brands of phone and especially those running stock Android probably don't have this option. I can say from personal experience that the Samsung Epic does not have this feature, as well as the HTC G2. So the "how to block calls on Android phones" is very misleading and inaccurate. Not to mention how sad it is that people need a video to explain this to them.
Does anyone know how to filter a whole group to silent eg i dont want anyone from my "work" group to wake me up....?

@brenteesha Hmm.. I could've sworn I said something about HTC phones in the description, but I didn't.
Sorry, about that.
I fixed it. :) Thanks for pointing it out.

I need an app that sends a disconnect tone to specific numbers that call me.
azjen 7 months ago
Not good. The caller hears one ring and then the line goes to voicelmail. Sounds like u've hung up on them.
PermT 8 months ago
@PermT Hmm.. It doesn't do that for me.
I don't even get the call. And the only reason I use it is for dumb spam/telemarketer calls. Haha.
( They don't care if you hang up, I'm sure they're used to it. :P )

This defeats the purpose of blocking calls. I don't want them contacting me at all, thus the definition of blocked calls. Stupid teenagers.

@TOYB0XX ..Would you rather them constantly bug you, by calling you?
Or let them be sent to your voicemail? Most people don't leave a voicemail.. :P

How does this not have 1,000,000 hits? This is so useful! Just subbed.

Hmmmm. If I block a jerk.... i don't want him/her to have access to my voicemail....
brandissss 1 year ago
@brandissss well, it really depends on what firmware, you're on.
If you are on 2.2, I'm pretty sure you can make a blacklist. ( Block certain people completely )
This was the only way on 2.1.
XXVitalEagleXX 1 year ago
so calls go straight to voicmail meaning they can still leave messages?
XtRalien 1 year ago
@XtRalien yes, there was no "blacklist" on 2.1 Android, so that was the only way to do it.
It sends them to voicemail, where they can leave a voicemail, but your phone won't ring when they call.

@XXVitalEagleXX cool, thanks.
