Because The UpTake (uptakevideo) is based in Minnesota, You Tube assumes all videos we post are from Minnesota, even when we put the location in as Washington, DC. So that feature of You Tube still needs some work.
Obama calls repeatedly for people to participate in grassroots mobilization and organizing. 11: 50 and 17:44
Progressives should stop blaming Obama and get out there an knock on some doors to put pressure on the White House to deliver on its campaign promises.
But watch 19:58 , it's hard to imagine Obama chastising a White working class audience as chastises Blacks in this clip. He says his is talking to ALL Americans, but somehow he doesn't come off like that way....
I am waiting for word from UpTake about a request for a clip of a small segment from this video - something I could use in our videos - I HOPE they respond to my request eventually
He makes an interesting argument about gradualism and change. I'm not sure I buy it -- did he really say, as Black Agenda reports, that the Congressional Black Caucus' Marshall Plan for the Cities was an attempt to create "jobs for Blacks"? If he did, that would have to go down as his "Sista Souja moment."
Progressives should take note of how many times he called for more grassroots mobilization and activism. Stop blaming Obama and get out there and knock on some doors to put pressure on him.
very well said - I just started a non-profit devoted to that very message - find out who is running in your local U.S. House district and go door to door
one thing I have been thinking about this morning. A president that wiould give a speech in a crosscultural mixed church would be better location to give Dr. King speech. Also as a Black man I know if Dr. King would not Support Abortion. Abortion is targeted Racism and it needs to end
I wish he had learned something from that generation before all the hope and change. I can't believe people would ever compare the two. It's an insult to the man who brought us, "I have a dream". What we are getting is not that dream.
The majority of people will vote out the Dems this year because we are back to "anything is better than we are getting"; AGAIN. It is very sad. We really need these banksters, and monopolized corporations out of Washington. Just my 2cents. We will see.
"Yeah, lets go back to what we had. The efforts to undo an 8-year calamity is obviously fruitless. This President is not capable." Get real and get some wisdom. Its sad that people are so short sighted.
Well, one redeming feature, he seems like he's a Christian, one obvious fact, you send 30,000 trained killers into the middle east to achieve.... ???

That's because you project your expectations on him. He is who he is, the POTUS who has to juggle everyone's interest.
