That is disgusting... we have some nasty spiders her in the US, but thankfully most don't get quite as large as yours. Unfortunately ours are pretty deadly-black widow, brown recluse, brown widow... YUCK!
FOR FUCK SAKE! During my school holidayis in Canterbury me, my brother and a friend of ours got to battle against one of them! I was in the upper bed wearing pijama, then I just said "Hey pals, that's just a spot on the roff, right? Of course that's NOT a spider.. isn't it?". Things got bad when he started walking towards me. :)

tahts a big spider. had a baby one for a pet but it ran away and killed the rats in my yard so we are never aloud in my yard.

And especially when a little later on my brother's first attack to the hell spider, he missed it and made him drop in my bed. That was hilarious ^^
