I'm not really sure I understand what you mean. If you're talking about my left foot on the hi-hat, I don't think MP does that. He typically doesn't "mark time" consistently with his left foot on the hi-hat. The right foot kick part is very close to what he plays.

It's not protection. Those are my Bose Triports. But it is wise to wear ear protection while playing. Once you lose hearing, it doesn't come back.

No, it is a crash. Seen it live and just know by the sound on the cd. There are videos of Drumavarium here on Youtube and he clearly plays a crash.

I do, however, choose to play on the ride during the chorus and it should be a crash.

Really good, an impeccable cover. I'm not too crazy about DT's latest work though. You have a really great sounding kit, and you use it up as much as you can, while keeping time and relating your drumming to the other instruments in the song. Shame you have to look out for cops, there should be more people doing what you do. 5 stars!
