@Kisssa76 Actually, J.K said she wanted Draco and Hermoine to get together but by the time she was going to hint at it in the books, fans were already thinking of Ron and hermione and she didn't want to upset them so she married them off in the end. its kinda of like Hermione's sister situation: Hermione originally had a sister but j.K didn't know how or when to introduce her so she ended up leaving it out entirely. so dramione isn't that far fetched. opposites attract.

@Kisssa76 Actually if you read the books you realize that Draco can't bring himself to do the acts required of him. There is a struggle in him between being good and doing what is expected of him. He isn't able to kill dumbledore for starters and only goes back to Voldemort when his parents, afraid for his life, plea for him to. I'm sure you've done things that you regretted when you were trying to fill your perceived role in the world.

It was pretty obvious that Hermione and Ron would get together, that's why it wasn't so interesting. But Draco and Hermione is out of the blue and that's what makes it so amazing and different. Ron and Hermione are perfect in the books and films but in the Harry Potter fanfiction world it's kind of boring since it has already happened. Read a Dramione fanfiction or something, it will change your mind ;D
