seriously made me cry! i was lucky enough to be present at this historic event! i waited almost two days ina line outside the excel to get to see him and it was worth the wait!! i didn't regret it for one moment! he filled the largest venue in the area and people were filling the streets of st. paul to watch it on the big screen outside. much like they did in time square when he gave his speech at the DNC!! simply amazing! a true moment in history!!
I've watched almost every single presidential speech this year from all of the candidates. I could barely stay awake through McCain's. and hillary's just made me bored. But Barack Obama's Speech gave me shivers in my spine. When he finished this speech and the entire audience cheered and applauded for him that was the most awesome moment i've ever experienced and i was only watching it on TV :]
Hey, what's with the homophobic reference in the prior comment!?!? I also love his message and his passion and his courage. He really is inspiring us to come together and build on our better selves.
I was there and was able to make it in. That was the biggest line I had ever seen. I was only in the middle and we were blocks away from the actual building. If his speech wasn't inspiring (which it definately was), seeing all those people waiting in line said it all.
Which may be a joke at the Republicans' expense, as they (I think it was Reagan?) wanted "Born In The USA" as their campaign song at one time, obviously not realising what it was about haha.
My buddy and I got there pretty late and for the next couple hours, people were still making their way to the back of the line. I'm not lying when I say -- not one person had a frown on their face as they were walking to the back of the line, almost certainly not to get into the rally. It was like nothing I'd ever seen before.
If he wins, I am joining the military to help enforce his mandate, that's how much I believe in him and his earnest desire to make this nation and this world better.
And if time allows, and a if President Obama should ask, National Service in between tours of duty.
I was there that night in St.Paul. I waited in line for 6 hours to see him. Even thought it was freezing(this summer has been cold in Minnesota). That is how much he has inspired me. I'm even thinking about becoming a politician, so I can change peoples lives for the better. More people in Washington need to start seeing the world the way Barack Obama does! When he becomes president I think the world will become a better place for everyone.

I love obama! I am pretty stare he's going to be the President of the United States of America! 100% Not just the united states but around the world too! Much love from Canada! GO OBAMA! Plz vote for him this November.
Obama Team we need to take action. We must work together to ensure our government is run by the people, not just win an election. Stay focused, engage your family and friends in the political process. Make sure everyone you know is registered to vote if they are of age.
Would've preferred Hillary to be president. Has more experience, but, hey, Obama's the next best thing. I don't dislike him. But I hope McCain isn't president, he's old and republican.
I WAS HERE...my husband was up close...really sincere man...you can feel his warmth and sincerity....I was not decided on anyone yet but he just was IT....pls. do not let this moment to vote him pass by....we need him and his new, fresh vision for the US.
I was here watching this speech live. And boy oh boy, talk about noise! The audience is electrified to maximum level! You can literally feel it to your brain and spine. The moment he say "I will be the democratic nominee" and WOW! The volume is UNREAL!
Yheaa i have to agree that was a beatiful speech that just means he has a lot of words and he is sweet to the ear, too bad that ordinary people can't simple see beyond that. What a pitty
Barack Obama is what America should have for president, my Wife is American she was not going to vote this year, after Obama's Victory Speech she will vote for Obama he is '' good ", speaks from his hart and know what people want and need, if he wins he will be a great president, I wish that he wins.
Wow, how inspirational! Vote for me and I'll give you everything in your wildest dreams. Don't be sheepel. America is a great country and always has been. Obama can't provide everything he wants you to believe he can. Want a better standard of living, go earn it.
I am 25 years old and I can honestly say this man is the only person in public life that ever reached me on a personal level. I am voting for him this Nov. It is bad for me though because I am from Texas so my State is going for John yet, I am going to try and give this man my vote maybe he might win!!
from here in Spain... this is your guy.. the best choice for a leader in any country.
Finally a leader the US deserves.
Please don't let them do to him what they do to all truly inspirational leaders. Don't let the big forces that drive US foreign policy assassinate him.
Obama, you seem truly noble, a deserved leader.. a leader your country as well as the whole world needs... o
In my country (Gabon), everywhere I go, people are talking about Barack, they're really amazed by him, we really hope he'll be the next President of your country because at the same time, he'll be the president of the world.
The American people really has to understand that the world is watching what you're doing, here in Africa, in every country, people are watching and listening, From Senegal, Mali, Benin, Cameroon, Gabon, to South Africa, Egypt, Nigeria, Niger... People are talking and we're very excited about what this man is doing in your country, people love the idea that your country is able to do what's impossible in any other other country.
democrats lets bring the party together we all stand as 1 just look at the issues faceing us 2day think about your furture when u go 2 vote in nov this year we had 2 of the best party members go hard 4 us lets not give up what we stand 4 i say no vote 4 john pain mccain more of the same just look at the last 7years now think about that 1 love.
Listen to how he commends Sen. Clinton! Showing such humility in his moment of victory! Not a shred of arrogance! Virtuous, every ounce of his being! That's the leader we need! Building our counrty up from this solid foundation...principles of virtue! Behold our President for the next 8 years people!
Good on you Obama! Hope for the USA means hope for the world. I'm an American living in Australia who still votes defacto. We will all give you everything we got!
This is for my great-great grandmother who had to ride on a train through the southern United States and hide her face behind the curtain because she was a Black woman.... she would be so proud to see how far we've come as a nation. I thank God for the progress that America has made
wow barrock what a night that was truly amazing and you defenitly would be a great president.Too bad i didnt make to this speech but god I wish i went. That be so cool to meet you. GO OBAMA O8.! AMAZING WORK REALLY TRULLY AMAZING.
I had the choice of going to either New York or Chicago to get my Master's. I chose Chicago. Before I'd even arrived, I was a staunch Obama supporter. It's been absolutely wonderful to be in the Windy City this year, during this primary season, the hometown of Mr. Barack Obama. He is the honest, compassionate, intelligent leader this country not only NEEDS...it DESERVES! Goodbye, Bush...don't let the door hit you on the way out. Hello President Obama and a brighter day.
On August 28, 2008 45 years to the day of Martin Luther King's famous "I Have A Dream" speech Barack Obama will have the opportunity to make history again.
To quote King...I am not unmindful that some of you have come here out of great trials and tribulations...With faith we will be able to work together...to struggle together...I have a dream that children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character. YES WE CAN!
all of Europe wants Obama to win. They feel that out of Obama Clinton, and McCain, Obama is the only one who can salvage the United State's reputation on an international scale
just hearing him say, "I can stand here and say I will be the Democratic nominee for President of the United States of America" sends shivers down my spine!
Everyone, if we really are going to make change, we need to keep out needless language out of our speech obviously, but also our comments hear on youtube. Nothing is gained from them but division. This is not what we are about. Unity is important in the little things too. Start showing respect for others and they will then show respect for us and for Obama.
Phenomonal, i'm from England and i agree that he should be the next president of the United States of America, a prolific leader for a prolific country!
this is a moment i never saw coming...but i have a bad feeling that he will win, and he will not be able to enforce what he wants to do because those in congress will undercut him...the classic old farts who have been runnin this country to hell and have to vote on bills he would propose...you know the types...
I was there. The lines outside the Xcel were bananas! It was great, no one walking to the back of the line looked to be in a bad mood. Everyone seemed to be happy to come support Barack and witness a part of history.
God willing, Obama will go down as one of the great leaders.
WOW!! Look what America has to look forward too. Smart, young, hip and with a whole lot of common sense. The world will be jealous. "Rumble Young Man Rumble".
Obama is like a tsunami wave, massive and overpowering. Nothing can stop him now, so John McCain, you better hope the planet aline and stop time or something astronomical cause there is no way Young American's are gonna let anyone we can't or it too expensive.Hillary did a god job in her concession speech.
G-d Bless America, Barack & the Obama family, AND Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton for working to unite our Democratic party and her devotion to getting our Democratic nominee into the White House in 2008!
My Mother and a lot of people keep on saying he is going to lose now....but, I have a feeling if we all join together, even the Clinton lovers and vote Obama, we can win. We need a Democrat.
Here in Canada the most people look at Obama as the new hope, inspired by his words and his honesty he is the only one than can bring about true change for this little planet in the near future on our side of the rock.
I hope he has the right people looking out for him and protecting him from those that would do ill will.
"This is the moment" for USA to work for a better future. This is the leadership that I think you need to inspire and lead with principles and not only power the democratic world. Regards from Sweden.
I have a question for you Obama supporters (from an undecided voter)how do you feel about all these Clinton supporters who according to all the polls and online blogs are so easily switching their vote to McCain?? I don't think you realize these people are PISSED OFF that Hillary lost and they would much rather see McCain in the White House rather than Obama, even if Hillary did everything in her power to sway her voters and help Obama.
I think this election may be a lot closer than you think.
The Messiah cometh. Stop the rising oceans? Heal the planet? Get a clue people. Listen to what the man says, not how he says it. It's all feel good BS that he cannot accomplish. Don't fall for it.
Mr. Obama likes to kill babies, he supports abortion, the surgical removal of a baby from it's mothers womb, now how is this different from killin' arabs in Iraq?
Barack Obama demonstrates the charisma, leadership, intellect, and substance to help motivate and empower all Americans, regardless of their chosen political party, to do what we are capable of doing.
While I respect the other candidates, I am proud to have campaigned for Mr. Obama and elated that he is the Democratic nominee for President! Yes, we CAN!
"I just want to do God's will. And he's allowed me to go to the mountain. And I've looked over, and I've seen the promised land! I may not get there with you, but I want you to know tonight that WE as a PEOPLE WILL get to the promised land."
You are so right. He said this day would come in his "I Have a Dream" speech. Free at last, Free at last, thank God almighty, we are free at last. Yes We Can! Obama 2008/2012!!!
I'm so glad I can say I was there for that historic moment. (That's me shouting "Yeah!" at 3:27. LOL) Love the video, thanks very much for posting it!
Today(June 6) is the 64th anniversary of D-day, if you know a veteran give him your thanks, and to all the vets out there, Thank you for all your sacrafieces, GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

this is a moment i never saw coming...but i have a bad feeling that he will win, and he will not be able to enforce what he wants to do because those in congress will undercut him...the classic old farts who have been runnin this country to hell and have to vote on bills he would propose...you know the types...

I was there. The lines outside the Xcel were bananas! It was great, no one walking to the back of the line looked to be in a bad mood. Everyone seemed to be happy to come support Barack and witness a part of history.
God willing, Obama will go down as one of the great leaders.
