Paul had gone to live on his rural farm in england for a few months, and since no one saw him on the headlines, they all suspected he was dead. riding on this suspicion, some stupid magazine put out that because Paul wasnt wearing shoes, he was dead, and that it was a sign. even after the Beatles denied it, they pressed on with "they got a replacement paul and are trying to cover it up". when Paul heard about it, he did an interveiw that proved he was alive and ended it.

I love how they all had their own individual solos in this one song. It was a nice ending to the Beatles, as well as the final couplet, which basically sums up the Beatles music. The amount of heart and soul that they put into their music, they received back from their listeners and fans.
