It's strange how people like to think that in this era of time we are more civilized than we were a 2 centuries ago or even 4-5 centuries ago. We still wage war, we still have famine and plauge, we stil have tyrants, we still have slavery, and we are still mostly controled by religion. Yeah we may have become more sophisticated as far as technology, but when it's used to destroy others it is no less barbarous than when people realized arrowhead could be used in war.

For those who think this country is so great, remember... Civil war in Africa, riots in the Middle East, Genghis Khan, the crusades, the Roman empire, the Ottoman empire, the Egyptian empire, Nazi Germany, fascist Japan. Ways to limit population would to have a kid limit instead of just not having a kid limit and having them live their youth and then go and die for someone who sits behind a table. I love this country.
We have done and do fucked up things for our best interest but shit at least we're honest about it. Look at the Wikileaks cables shit, you expect to see the US doing such terrible things but what you see is the States being pushed by Europe and the Saudi's and Egyptians into killing Ahmadinejad, what do they say back "We're not your assassin".
