As for natural gas theres nothing I can replace that with although I have turned my water heater down to low and only use central air on weekends and in the winter we tough it out at 59○. With a barrel of crude now at $140 and rising, even if there was a large supply of oil left on earth which there is not, it is not affordable to most. Where the $20 a barrel we we're promised before the Iraq invasion? $200 a barrel soon.
