@Stephen10528 they used a green sceen that part of the horse was made for him to sit on and it was .....easier to explain if you know how a green screen works......it's how they make any magic in television or the movies now a days.
lolz I remember when Rowlf was playing the piano and he ended up with three hands. O_o. that weirded me out as a kid. (They reran this on Nick Jr for some reason.)
To Bob Hope, Don Knots and all the great actors that appeared on this great show, created by 2 great guys, Frank Oz and Jim Henson. Its sad that most of the people that were on this show are now gone and all we can say is "Thanks for the Memories"
This has long been my very favorite rendition of "Don't Fence Me In." I can still remember when I first saw it as a child, in re-runs. I adore Bob Hope!

Whats going on here he seems to be very kind looking and charming well the very people in entertainment are people you thought you knew atall its the very people in the world of entertainment who really are active criminals behind the scenes I recommend you read David Ickes book The Biggest Secret it goes into depth who these entertainers are working for. Who else was there Ah Jerry Lee Lewis Frank SInatra Bono Elvis and a load more!
@jasobres How can you say that if many shows that aren't for children are mostly either very violent or full of vulgar sex-related humor? Do you see any of that in the Muppet Show?
I liked the comment that they made from the balcony. I think that this is the best 'Muppet Show' that I've watched so far. Thanks Dr. Julius Strangepork for putting the shows up.
His hobbies include wrestling Alligators.
He is just as good at eating drums as he is at playing them.
He bowls overhand.
He is Animal, the most interesting Muppet in the world.

You know? I'd much rather see The Great Gonzo's Impersonation of Bread. Darn poppy-seeds.

The horse is wearing shoes just like real horses wear shoes. How do they work the horse muppet w/ Bob sitting on it?

Kermit: "Is Animal still alligator wrestling?"
Floyd: "No, he gave that up. Said it was too easy. He's taken up bowling now."
Kermit: "Oh, that's much better. Much better and much safer."
Floyd: "I dunno, man. Animal tends to bowl overhand."
Random bowling balls whiz around backstage.
Gonzo: "What's? Ah!" *ducks bowling ball*
Bowling ball hits Scooter.
Animal: "STRIKE!"

Can use the word hangover in that context on a kids show?
Flipped1351 3 years ago
Let's get one thing straight: The Muppet Show was never EVER conceived as a show for children.
jasobres 3 years ago 31
You're right- I tend to think it appealed to the creative kid in every adult.

What's the name of the song that Rowlf is playing? I think i've heard that before.
badbit 4 years ago 4
It's called "Nola", which was written for the composer's fiancee. And I hear it a lot at work...
LaDracul 4 years ago 2
Which composer?
badbit 4 years ago 2
Felix Arndt. It was written in 1915, and I believe the 1950 cover by Les Brown is the more commonly heard one.
