The Isettas were often mistaken as three-wheelers, though they are not. Nevertheless, due to the fact that the rear wheels are so close together, they were nicknamed "Schlaglochsuchgerät": pothole-detection-implement. Holes in the road just missed by the front wheels were surely hit by one of the rear wheels- and Germany's road network in the 50s was not what it is now.Lots of cobbled streets and minor roads still unpaved.

Very clean wiring loom, and your engine sounds great! I'm guessing our Isetta engine whine comes from the fan blades at certain low rpm. have fun with it this summer. don't even think of selling it. Not ever.
