*spoilers ahead* This is beyond awesome. BEYOND. When I saw Mitsuo's battle with this music, I nearly teared. That was how epic it was.

2 things:

-12 episodes were needed to introduce all the team minus Naoto. This means the next 12 or so will have less character introductions, thus better pacing, giving a better idea of Yu's bonds.

- If Mitsuo's battle was this epic, the final FINAL battle with Yu using his top-tier Personas PLUS Iza-no will make for THE most manly-tear-inducing fight EVER.

So, yes... On the balance scale, Episode 12 is more towards being Yu Narukami's personal episode, rather than Mitsuo Kubo's episode. But it was for a good cause. A very good cause considering the badass pounding Narukami inflicted on Shadow Mitsuo. Very awesome scene.

I thought Persona fans were more civilized than what you guys are arguing about. So I'll sum it up.

Because they they allowed Yu to talk in The Animation, he also has a personality. And because of that, it's important for him to have sone sort of character development. So in that episode, he was mind-warped by Mitsuo into thinking all his friends were abandonning him. And at the end of ep. 12, he was helped by his friends to stop Kubo and he was relieved that it was all an illusion.

Hum, actually, I have mixed feelings abou it. While the scene itself was really nice (especially because of this song), I didn't like the fact that Yuu did all the fight. I guess I should have expected this, they always make it like the leader does everything and the others just cheer for him. But still, since this will happen in the last battle as well, I wish they would have done it in a different way.

Like, doing random encounters and such things, party members were really super useful, but when you got to a boss, they took supporting roles (The group uses their personas to hinder the guarding abilities of the shadow in the anime, leaving him open) whereas you, the player, with versatile command of personas, and tactical reasoning in that situation, end up doing the majority of the heavy lifting?

It's actually pretty clever.

Well, it depends. In my group, the MC did most of the time nothing, I managed to do everything with Yosuke, Chie and Yukiko. Not only that but supporting role is one thing, to hold a mere barrier (not that it was all that necessary, since Yuu began to break it on his own anyway) is another thing. What I didn't like is that he did all the fighting, the others just became cheerleaders.

Well, it was really Yu's episode, and the battle at the end was very symbolic. Using all those personas was a way to represent that he still had all those bonds and nothing was going to change that. And of course they would do it in a way that everyone who's played the game will enjoy, by showing off a ton of personas that we haven't seen in the anime yet, there wasn't really room for anything else. I loved it. :)

For some reason you guys keep saying as if I don't actually know this. I know that, for some odd reason, they decided to turn Mitsuo's episode into Yuu's (maybe because they noticed that he had to be more than a mere door that would make a joke here and there). It's simply a matter of taste. I don't like when a MC does everything (just like when Cloud defeated Bahamut all by himself in FFVII: AC).

Yosuke rescued Yu from Shadow Mitsuo's mindrape, the team had done a lot of damage on the Shadow beforehand, and they held the blocks back so that Yu could take the Shadow down. Without them, he couldn't have beat Shadow Mitsuo. Sure, Yu got the glory and the awesome, but without the Investigation Team, he couldn't have gotten it in the first place. Yosuke himself said he'd let Yu shine with the death blow.

Tears of joy ran down my cheeks when I heard this super ultra great delicious wonderful awesome soundtrack remix. This was always one of my favorite battle themes of all time. And Meguro just made it a thousand times more epic. :'3
