What is wrong with people that they did nothing to drive the bear out of a heavily populated area season after season? They were asking for this to happen.
@ownTer why he haven't eated nobody before in its 10 years ''living in the neighborhood'' ??... you must have confused a semi-domesticated black bear for an alaskan grizzly, even if any bear can be dangerous,I don't think this one was an issue to neighborhood. Black bear and grizzly have very differents habbits. I think that as long as a black or brown bear don't feel threathened (specially a femalle with its cubs),or haven'th been surprised, you should be O.K.
@moparholic2 Wow thats pretty funny. Considering there are WAY people killed by black bears than brown bears.Fact...its a wild animal. Fair enough it may have been pretty nice for a number of years. But the fact remains...it will eat you if it wants to.
@ownTer HOLD ON . Do you seriously think that bears kill people to eat them ? NO ! Almost every single person killed by any species of bear is because they feel threatened . Bears eliminate the threat and move on , you seem to think that bears are compeletely vicious creatures that drag people out of their tents and devour them on a regular basis . Why do you idiots think that predators are constantly out to devour people ? I am not saying you should go petting them , but they are not that bad
@MrFloppywaffles Funny you should say that since just year in King Cove Alaska i was chased by a Bear and climb onto crab pots to get away. I was a fair distance away and in no way surprised the bear in any way. As a matter of fact more Bear were killed this year up there for close encounters than in many years. Im not saying that every Bear wants to eat people either. Im just saying it happens often enough. Check my profile for proof of Bear encounter.
@MrFloppywaffles I doubt they smelt much. And i ran to them. Luckily they were there. Undernourished for sure. Also it was pretty young Bear. Probably 3 or 4 years or so. Most Bear up there know to stay away from people. But the fishing was terrible this year. Forcing them into towns and villages. Unfortunately this Bear was shot and killed the next day. Pretty sad really.

@lesterclaypool1 Yes , they should have driven him out , but sitting there taking pictures of it to show people is just stupid and ridiculous .

@ownTer What did you expect you appeared into this under nourished looking bear's habitat with hundreds of crates that smelled like crab ?
