I didn't even realize how much better the actually color is on the Zune HD i knew the screen was better but I hadn't realized the color difference

zune hd leads a little with a high contrast , ipod touch has a bigger screen, both are fast, zune is more colorful than ipod touch, accelerometer works with less thinking time in zune Hd... Both are COOL!

this is a very good and useful test but for somereason its not doing justice to how good the zune hd screen is. so much so that i wouldnt reccomend using the video in wavering between the two devices

All the "Speed" tests for the Accelerometer are bunk. The accelerometer on the iPhone and iPod touch are precise enough to do fine controls on Driving games and other tilt-input games, as well as act as a Highly Accurate Dynamometer in Dynolicious. The 'lag' you see is the device ignoring your input for a fraction of a second so it doesn't switch over inadvertently. If you move the device laterally the Zune would be more prone to seeing that as an orientation change and tweak out the screen.

I've never had either device (getting the Zune soon, though), but I have done my homework. The iPod Touch is famous for it's faster browser and endless amount of apps. The Zune HD is famous for it's rich display, excellent user interface, and it's music player. I gotta go with the Zune HD on this one. Keep in mind that Microsoft is more focused on getting things done while Apple is more focused on goofing off and having fun. The Zune HD just so happens to do just a little of both... kinda.

and if you ask me

during day times while the sun shining on both devices the ipod wins because its a lcd (BACK LIT) while the zune hd oled does not need back light to make the color pop but because of this its really hard to see in the sun while the itouch is still very manageable. also the zune hd is not as bright as the itouch.

but of course oled uses very little energy while the itouch drains like hell.

so i consider it a draw comparing them both.

already that's is a false statement because i tested both of them and the itouch is 35%-40% more visible in sunlight with brightness max. The zune hd maximum brightness is not as bright as itouch. u should test them out ur self before calling me a liar and fanboy... =__=

the ITOUCH have a BACK LITE LCD because of that back lite in the sunlight its creates a brigher image than the zune hd non back lite LCD

this is how i test them: itouch and zune hd have the same image, both put to max brightness, and see which is brighter. THE OLED is clearer BUT the itouch is still 35% more brighter than the zune HD. you have your own experience and i have mines but i have them both so clearly my experience is more valid.....

my opinion is that oled has much more vivid color and darking black. well during sunlight it makes the images darker and makes the image hard to see because the black blends in too much. while the itouch the color was washed out but you could see the images clearly during direct sunlight because of the BACKLITE LCD.

THIS whole arguement was about me saying the zune aint as visable in direct sunlight than itouch and i get ppl calling me fanboy. so fanboy = opinon? well then your a fanboy also.

I'm using my iPod touch- 3G, and I have it jail broke.. The iPods screen is way bigger that the zunes, and you can get a text message app for 99 cents, so when it comes down to which is better- it depends because I will admit. Touch screen zunes are really good because the play HD movies! So I think they are tied.
