The sides and back wall are paneling covered with wallpaper to look like trees and blue paint for sky. The front of the playground is clear Plexiglas. Flooring is green indoor/outdoor carpet. The playground sits on a table. The houses, church, school buildings and track are Fisher Price and Little Tikes toys. Total cost to make this was about $100. The playground is approximately 3 feet wide x 6 feet long and 18 inches tall. Each corner is supported with a vertical 2" x 2" board to add support.

It's a full grown Campbell's Russian Dwarf hamster. The dog is small, she weighs 7 lbs. The playground is large, 3 feet x 6 feet, 18 inches high.

I don't have this hamster playground anymore but it wasn't hard to clean. I'd take all the houses, toys, track, etc. outside and use the water hose to clean them and let them dry in the sun. The green floor was machine washable carpet. The hamsters were not in the playground for very long at a time, they had cages to live in, so it didn't get dirty very quickly.

I made the playground, I spent about $100. The most expensive part was the piece of Plexiglas for the front, about $50. The table it sits on about $20, the green fake grass carpet $10 and the toys from yard sales, etc. $2 to $5 each. It wasn't hard to clean, it didn't get dirty very quickly because the hamsters were just in there for short periods of time to play. To clean I took the toys out, hosed them down outside, let air dry, I washed the carpet in the washing machine.

Yes, you could, as long as they were use to being together already. Dwarf hamsters will live in colonies if they're been together since they were babies. I once had a colony of about 30 dwarf hamsters in a huge cage. There was 3 mothers and all their babies, they took turns caring for the babies. When the male babies matured I had to separate them out or I would have had 100's of hamsters. You could not put a group of Syrians in there together, they would fight.

Just to warn you, the houses next to the plexiglass are pretty tall and hamsters can climb...I once had a hamster that could even knock the plastic tubing off the set and get free. I just wouldn't want your hamster to escape and get hurt. :)

@ashger This is not the hamster's cage, it's a playground. I was always in the room watching that the dog couldn't get into it even though she wouldn't have harmed the hamster. They were friends.
