They're getting old, though, and many are starting to have geriatric radio issues. The power supply filter caps failed in mine, causing a lot of hum -- at first just for a few minutes at turn-on, and, ultimately, all of the time. I replaced all of the power supply caps, including the ones on the board under the speaker, and it's as good as new.

I have a 940SAT as well, great rigs. Try it on 160m sometime you'll be amazed by its performance. I pair mine up with an older Radio Shack DSP-40 (found on eBay for a few bucks) and it really cleans up the receive on 40m and 80m. There's also some really great mods for that rig if you're so inclined to find them on google.
